Abstract

PT. Yanaprima Hastapersada Tbk. merupakan salah satu perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang produksi karung plastik yang berlokasi di Sidoarjo. Terdapat permasalahan pada perusahaan yaitu masih banyak produk cacat yang dihasilkan pada proses produksi. Perusahaan memiliki maksimal toleransi produk cacat adalah 3%, tetapi berdasarkan data dari perusahaan menghasilkan produk cacat melebihi batas maksimal toleransi. Produk cacat yang terbentuk yaitu jenis cacat data atribut dan variabel. Penelitian ini hanya difokuskan pada cacat atribut saja karena paling berpengaruh pada prroses produksi karung plastik. Produk cacat akan memberikan kerugian bagi perusahaan jika tidak dikurangi. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan pengendalian kualitas pada proses produksi karung plastik sebagai upaya mengurangi produk cacat. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode six sigma dengan fase define, measure, analyze dan improve. Tahap pertama adalah fase define dengan menentukan jenis cacat potensial dan Critical to Quality (CTQ). Kedua, fase measure dengan melakukan perhitungan statistik menggunakan peta kontrol p, menghitung nilai DPMO, level sigma dan kapabilitas proses. Ketiga, fase analyze dengan menggunakan diagram sebab akibat untuk menemukan akar penyebab kemudian menggunakan Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) untuk mengidentifikasi potensi kegagalan pada proses produksi karung plastik dan diperoleh nilai RPN dari setiap kegagalan. Terakhir, fase improve dengan memberikan rekomendasi perbaikan untuk mengurangi jumlah produk cacat karung plastik di PT.Yanaprima Hastapersada Tbk. Hasi dari penelitian ini bahwa pada fase define terdapat 3 jenis cacat potensial yaitu anyaman berlubang, anyaman renggang dan miss print dimana memiliki 3 CTQ. Pada fase measure terdapat 3 observasi cacat miss print dan 4 observasi cacat anyaman berlubang dan anyaman renggang diluar batas kontrol, nilai rata-rata DPMO sebesar 11.189,115, ratarata nilai level sigma sebesar 3,787 dan kapabilitas proses mencapai 1,262 artinya proses cukup mampu untuk dilakukan proyek six sigma. Pada fase analyze diketahui ada 4 faktor penyebab cacat yaitu pada mesin, manusia, material dan metode. Pada fase improve rekomendasi yang dapat diberikan yaitu checklist, memberikan pelatihan kepada pekerja, penambahan alat pengatur posisi pemasangan karung plastik dan penambahan operator. Sebelum melakukan penambahan operator, dilakukan analisis beban kerja yang diterima operator sortir dengan menggunakan pengukuran stopwatch time study. Hasil dari perhitungan analisis beban kerja diperoleh nilai sebesar 126,7% artinya beban kerja yang diterima operator tergolong besar sehingga dilakukan penambahan 1 operator. Nilai beban kerja baru setelah penambahan operator jadi 2 operator sebesar 63,4%. Oleh karena itu, perlu penambahan operator sebanyak 1 orang.

English Abstract

PT. Yanaparima Hastapersada Tbk. is one of the companies which engages in the field of plastic bags production located in Sidoarjo. There is a problem in company that is still a lot of defective products in the production process. The company has a maximum tolerance of defective products by 3% but based on data from the company resulted in defective products exceed the maximum limit of tolerance. The defective product that formed is the type of data attribute and variabel defects. This research only focuses on attribute defects only because the most influential on the production process of plastic bags. Defective products will provide great losses if not reduced. Therefore, it is necessary to apply the quality control in the production process of plastic bags as an effort to reduce the defect product. This research using the method of six sigma with Define, Measure, Analyze and Improve phase. The first stage is the define phase by determining the type of potential defects and Critical to Quality (CTQ). Second, measure phase by doing statistical calculation using control chart p, calculate DPMO value, level sigma and process capability. Third, analyze phase by using cause and effect diagram to find the root cause the use Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) to identify potential failure in plastic bags production process and obtainded RPN value from each failure. Last, improve phase by give provide recommendations to reduce the number of defective plastic bags products in PT. Yanaprima Hastapersada Tbk. The result of this research that in the define phase there are 3 types of potential defects that hollow webbing, woven webbing and miss print has 3 CTQ. In the measure phase there are 3 miss print defect observations and 4 observations of hollow webbing defects and woven webbing out of the control limit, the average value DPMO of 11.189,115, the average level sigma of 3,787 and the process capability of 1,262 means that the process is sufficient to six sigma projects. In the analyze phase know there are 4 factors causing defects that is on machine, man, material and method. In the phase of improve, given recommendations that can applied are checklist, provide training to workers, the addition of plastic bag positioning equipment ant the addition of operator. Before to the addition of operators, an analysis of workloads received by the sortir operator by using stopwatch time study. Te result of the calculaton of workload analysis obtained a value of 126,7% means that the workload received by the operator is large so that the addition of 1 operator. The value of new workload after the addition of operator into 2 operators by 63,4%. Therefore, it is necessary to add operators as much as 1 person.
