Abstract
Bahasa Sunda merupakan salah satu bahasa di Indonesia yang digunakan di Jawa Barat seperti Bandung, Bogor, Ciamis, Cianjur dan lain-lain. Peneliti melakukan penelitian tentang tingkat bahasa Sunda dalam kata panggilan yang digunakan masyarakat Cianjur dengan menggunakan teori Kats Soeriadiradja dan Coolsma. Penelitian ini fokus pada dua masalah penelitian yaitu: (1) apa saja tingkat bahasa Sunda pada kata panggilan yang digunakan masyarakat Cianjur (2) apa perbedaan tingkat bahasa Sunda dalam kata panggilan berdasarkan usia dan pekerjaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat bahasa Sunda dalam kata panggilan dan untuk menjawab masalah penelitian. Data pada penelitian ini adalah transkrip dari wawancara langsung dan percakapan sehari-hari oleh masyarakat Cianjur. Kemudian, Peneliti menyatakan ada 23 kata panggilan bahasa Sunda yang dibagi menjadi tiga tingkat bahasa; 14 Basa Lemes, 4 Basa Panengah, dan 4 Basa Kasar. Di desa Bobojong tingkat bahasa yang sering digunakan sehari-hari yaitu basa Lemes dan Basa Panengah. Berdasarkan usia, Basa Kasar hanya digunakan oleh teman sebaya. Sedangkan, berdasarkan pekerjaan, masyarakat hanya menggunakan Basa Lemes dan panengah untuk saling menghormati satu sama lain. Peneliti menyarakankan kepada peneliti selanjutnya yang ingin melakukan penelitian yang sama dalam tingkat Bahasa Sunda, terutama pada istilah panggilan untuk menggunakan aspek lain untuk membuat penelitian mereka berbeda.Untuk pembaca, penelitian ini mungkin berguna untuk menambah pengetahuan tentang Bahasa daerah di Indonesia.
English Abstract
Sundanese is one of the languages in Indonesia used in West Java such as Bandung, Bogor, Cianjur, Ciamis and etc. The researcher conducts a research about Sundanese speech levels in address terms used by society in Cianjur by using Kats and Soeriadiradja and Coolsma’s theory. This research focuses on two problems: (1) What the Sundanese speech levels in address terms used by society in Cianjur are (2) What the Differences of Sundanese speech levels in address terms based on age and profession are. This research used qualitative approach to describe the Sundanese speech levels in address terms and to answer the problem of the studies. The data of this research is transcription of direct interview and the daily conversation used by society in Cianjur. This research reveals that there are twenty-three Sundanese address terms which are divided into three speech levels; fifteen terms which are in Basa Lemes, four terms which are in Basa panengah and four terms which are in Basa Kasar. In Bobojong Village the Sundanese speech levels that mostly used are Basa Lemes and Basa Panengah. In terms of age, Basa Kasar is only used by friend with the same age. While, in terms of profession, the society only used Basa Lemes and Basa Panengah to respect each other. Finally, the researcher suggest for the next researchers who want to conduct a similar research in Sundanese speech level, especially in terms of address based on other aspect to make their research more different, other those age and profession. For the reader, this study might be useful to advice knowledge about regional language in Indonesia.
