Abstract
Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk mengetahui klasifikasi jenis paraphasia apa saja yang terdapat pada ujaran penderita afasia wernicke. Untuk mencapai tujuan penelitian, peneliti menggunakan teori jenis-jenis paraphasia yang digagas oleh Benson (1996) dan Goodglass & Wingfield (1997). Penelitian ini disusun dengan metode kualitatif deskriptif dalam bentuk studi kasus dengan subjek tunggal.Sumber data yang digunakan adalah transkripsi dari ujaran-ujaran penderita afasia wernicke dalam mengikuti picture naming test. Picture naming test didesain dan disusun oleh peneliti sendiri. Dalam mendesain dan menyusun Picture naming test, peneliti memanfaatkan stimuli-stimuli visual yang terdapat pada The Bank of Standardized Stimuli (BOSS) yang digagas oleh Brodeur et al (2010). Peneliti memilih 40 stimuli visual sebagai poin-poin pertanyaan dalam tes dari seluruh stimuli yang ada pada BOSS yang terdiri 460 stimuli. Hasil analisa menunjukkan bahwa ada empat jenis paraphasia yang dilakukan oleh penderita afasia wernicke dalan ujaranya selama pelaksanaan tes yang terdiri phonemic paraphasia (1), semantic verbal paraphasia (2), unrelated verbal paraphasia (3) dan neologism paraphasia(4). Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menemukan 2 ujaran yang terindentifikasi sebagai phonemic paraphasia, 16 ujaran yang terindentifikasi sebagai semantic verbal paraphasia, 9 ujaran yang terindentifikasi sebagai unrelated verbal paraphasia dan 5 ujaran yang terindentifikasi sebagai neologism paraphasia. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti memberikan saran-saran pada dua kelompok: terapis wicara dan peneliti selanjutnya.Terapis wicara Indonesia disarankan untuk mengembangkan instrumen seperti BOSS dengan konteks Indonesia dan peneliti selanjutnya disarankann mengambil tipe afasia lainya berserta gejala-gejalanya.
English Abstract
This study was conducted to find out the classification of paraphasia found in utterances of a Wernicke’s aphasic. To reach the research objective, the researcher used the theory of proposed by Benson (1996) and Goodglass & Wingfield (1997). This research was designed with descriptive qualitative method in form of case study with single participant. The data source which used was the transcription of Wernicke’s aphasic utterances during picture naming test. Picture naming test was designed and arranged by the researcher-self. In designing and arranging the picture naming test, the researcher utilized visual stimuli items that contained in The Bank of Standardized Stimuli (BOSS) proposed by Brodeur et al (2010). The researcher selected 40 visual stimuli as question items in the test from entire visual stimulus in BOSS that consist 460 stimuli. Based on the result of analysis, it was revealed that four types of paraphasia are employed by the participant during the test which consist of phonemic paraphasia, semantic verbal paraphasia, unrelated verbal paraphasia and neologism paraphasia. In this research, the researcher found 2 utterances which indicated to phonemic paraphasia, 16 utterances indicated to semantic verbal paraphasia, 9 utterances indicated to unrelated verbal paraphasia and 5 utterances indicated to neologism paraphasia. According to the present study, the researcher delivers the suggestions to two parties: Indonesian language-speech pathologists and the next researchers. Indonesian language-speech pathologists are suggested to develop the instrument as BOSS that contained Indonesian context and the next researchers are suggested to take different type of aphasia within its symptoms.
