Abstract
Program Mahasiswa Wirausaha (PMW) dimulai sejak tahun anggaran 2009, pemerintah melalui Direktorat Jenderal Pendidikan Tinggi, Kementerian Pendidikan Nasional telah meluncurkan Program Mahasiswa Wirausaha (PMW) untuk dilaksanakan dan dikembangkan oleh Perguruan Tinggi. Program Mahasiswa Wirausaha bertujuan untuk memberikan bekal pengetahuan, keterampilan dan jiwa wirausaha (Entrepreneurship) berbasis IPTEKS kepada para mahasiswa agar dapat mengubah pola pikir (Mindset) dari pencari kerja (Job Seeker) menjadi pencipta lapangan pekerjaan (Job Creator) serta menjadi pengusaha yang tangguh dan sukses menghadapi persaingan global. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, yaitu berusaha mendapatkan informasi menggunakan teknik wawancara mengenai Implementasi Program Mahasiswa Wirausaha (PMW) dalam menciptakan kemandirian mahasiswa. Lokasi penelitian yaitu berada di Universitas Brawijaya, sedangkan situs penelitian antara lain Rektorat Bagian Biro Kemahasiswaaan Universitas Brawijaya dan mahasiswa yang terlibat langsung dalam program ini. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa Program Mahasiswa Wirausaha dalam Menciptakan Kemandirian Mahasiswa telah telah terlaksana dengan cukup baik walaupun masih banyak faktor kendala dan kekurangan yang harus diperbaiki untuk program selanjutnya. Secara keseluruhan, kemandirian dan ciri karakter wirausahawan harus dimiliki oleh setiap mahasiswa yang menjalankan usahanya sejak dini. Hal ini dikarenakan untuk bagaimana nantinya mahasiswa bisa survive di dunia bisnis dalam jangka panjang dan mempunyai sifat mandiri yang tinggi hingga sukses serta bisa bermanfaat kepada orang lain seperti halnya dalam menciptakan lapangan pekerjaan bagi masyarakat. Jadi, sebagian besar mahasiswa yang mengikuti Program Mahasiswa Wirausaha (PMW) tahun 2012 maupun 2013 yang penulis teliti, masih belum mempunyai kemandirian yang matang. Tetapi, hal ini memanglah sangat wajar mengingat mereka masih berstatus mahasiswa dan masih memerlukan pembelajaran kembali mengenai kemandirian. Diharapkan mereka suatu saat nanti mempunyai kemandirian yang benar-benar mandiri, fokus pada bisnis yang mereka miliki dan tidak menggantungkan diri terhadap orang lain serta bisa menciptakan lapangan pekerjaan bagi masyarakat. Saran ke depannya untuk program ini antara lain, membuat indikator keberhasilan yang jelas mengenai bagaimana Program Mahasiswa Wirausaha (PMW) ini bisa dijalankan dan menghasilkan output yang benar-benar nyata, diadakannya kegiatan rutin pelatihan dan pembekalan jiwa kewirausahaann secara berkala, mendatangkan motivator bisnis tingkat nasional dalam pelatihan dan pembekalan jiwa kewirausahaan, diberikannya sanksi yang tegas bagi mahasiswa yang melanggar prosedur, dan lebih diefektifkan dan disempurnakan lagi dari tim monev.
English Abstract
Student Entrepreneurial Program (SEP) started in fiscal year 2009, the Government through the Directorate General of higher education, Ministry of national education has launched a student Program Self-employment (SEP) to be implemented and developed by the College. Student Entrepreneurial Program aims to provide the knowledge, skills and spirit of entrepreneurship-based IPTEKS to the students to be able to change the mindset of jobseekers becomes the creator of employment (Job Creator) as well as being a tough and successful entrepreneurs to face global competition. This research used the qualitative approach, which seeks to obtain information that is as complete as possible about Implementation of Students Entrepreneurial Program (SEP) in creating student independence. The location of the research that is located in the University of Brawijaya, where as the research site among other things led to The Bureau of Student Affairs University of Brawijaya and students are directly involved in the program. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the Programs student Entrepreneurs in creating Self-reliance of students have been done quite well even though there are still many factors constraints and shortcomings that must be rectified for the next program. Overall, self-reliance and character traits of entrepreneurs should be owned by every student who runs his business early on. This is due to how students can be survive in the business world in the long term and have high self catering to successful and could be useful to others as well as in creating jobs for the community. So, most students who participate in Student Entrepreneurial (SEP) year 2012 or 2013 which the author carefully, still do not have a mature independence. However, this is indeed very reasonable considering they still a student and still requires learning again about self-reliance. Hopefully one day they have the independence that is completely self-sufficient, to focus on the business they have and not rely on others and could create jobs for the community. Future suggestions for this program among others, making a clear success indicators as to how the entrepreneurial Student Program (SEP) can run and generate output that is actually real, Holding regular training activities and supply the soul of entrepreneure periodically, bring in national level business motivators in training and the supply of entrepreneurial spirit, he gave strict sanctions to those students who violate the procedures, and More efective and perfected more than team monev.
