English Abstract

This research is conducted to analyze the influence of inflation, interest, and gross domestic product (GDP) on firm value which is seen from stock price. Stock price is very important for company, investor, and economy of a country. For company, stock price represents the firm value, for investor it indicates the return that will be obtained, for the economy it reflects the condition of the economy. Stock price as the indicator of firm value is affected by macroeconomic variables, such as inflation, interest, and GDP. This research wants to examine the influence of inflation, interest, and GDP on firm value simultaneously and partially. Some theories about investment, macroeconomic variables, firm value variables, and the influence among inflation, interest, and GDP on firm value are written in this research. This research uses explanatory research with quantitative approach. Sites of research are www.idx.co.id, www.bi.go.id, and www.bps.go.id. Sample in the research is 14 companies. Data collection technique in the research is documentation. There are two data analysis in the research: descriptive statistic and inferential statistic, inferential statistic consists of classical assumption test, and multiple regression analysis. The results of this research are, there is a multicollinearity problem in the classical assumption test, and in order to solve it interest variable is removed from the regression model since it has the biggest VIF value. Inflation and GDP have significant influence on firm value simultaneously. The coefficient determination is as much 14.6%. Inflation has negative significant influence on firm value. GDP has positive insignificant influence on firm value. Inflation is the most dominant in influencing firm value.
