Abstract
Fakultas Ilmu Komputer Universitas Brawijaya membuat sistem informasi berbasis website untuk mempermudah pekerjaan yang dilakukan stakeholder, sistem informasi yang dibuat bernama Filkom Apps. Berdasarkan hasil dari observasi, ditemukan menu yang tidak menampilkan informasi sama sekali dimana adanya menu yang kosong akan mempengaruhi harapan pengguna terhadap sistem dan dari hasil wawancara pengguna tidak mengetahui adanya fitur logbook bimbingan padahal fitur logbook adalah salah satu fitur utama. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan evaluasi usability untuk mengukur tingkat kegunaan aplikasi berdasarkan 5 aspek usability yaitu efficiency, effectiveness, learnability, memorability dan satisfaction. Metode usability testing, observasi dan wawancara digunakan untuk mengukur tingkat usability serta menggali masalah terkait dengan usability dengan memberikan tugas kepada pengguna untuk menggunakan aplkasi. Hasil dari pengujian usability menunjukkan nilai dari aspek efficiency didapatkan nilai efisiensi relatif keseluruhan sebesar 86% yang berarti sangat baik. Aspek effectiveness diukur dengan tingkat kesalahan dan tingkat penyelesaian, dari tingkat kesalahan didapatkan nilai sebesar 0,18 yang berarti kesalahan yang dilakukan masih normal dan dari tingkat penyelesaian didapatkan nilai sebesar 87,5% yang berarti tingkat penyelesaiannya tinggi. Aspek learnability diukur dengan membandingkan rata-rata waktu penyelesaian tugas antara pengujian 1 dan pengujian 2, hasil perbandingan antara pengujian 1 dan pengujian mendapatkan gap nilai 1,35 yang berarti responden membutuhkan 1,35 kali lebih lama pada saat pertama kali mengerjakan tugas yang diberikan. Aspek memorability diukur dengan membandingkan rata-rata jumlah langkah dan rata-rata jumlah klik. Rata-rata jumlah langkah pada pengujian 1 sebesar 28,8 dan pada pengujian 2 sebesar 28,6. Sedangkan jumlah rata-rata jumlah klik pada pengujian 1 sebesar 47 dan pada pengujian 2 sebesar 38. Hasil pengukuran aspek memorability menunjukkan bahwa pengguna dapat mengingat dan mempertahankan kemampuan dalam menggunakan aplikasi. Aspek satisfaction yang diukur dengan kuesioner system usability scale (SUS) mendapatkan skor 65,3 yang berada dibawah standar skor dari SUS yaitu 68, sehingga perlu segera dilakukan perbaikan. Selain itu juga terdapat masalah usability yang muncul dari hasil pengujian, observasi dan wawancara. Masalah yang muncul berkaitan dengan konten, tombol, navigasi dan tata letak. Masalah usability yang ditemukan pada pengujian, observasi dan wawancara kemudian diberikan rekomendasi untuk memperbaiki dan meningkatkan usability.
English Abstract
Faculty of Computer Science Brawijaya University create a web-based application to facilitate the work of stakeholders, application was named Filkom Apps. Based on the result of the observations, found a menu that does not display any information, where the empty menu will affect user expectations of the system and the result of interviews, user do not know the existence of logbook guidance, while logbook feature is one of the main features. Therefore it necessary to evaluate usability, to measure application usability level based on 5 usability aspect efficiency, effectiveness, learnability, memorability and satisfaction. Methods of usability testing, observation and interview are used to measure usability level and to explore problem that related to usability by given task scenario to users. The result of usability testing shows that the value of efficiency aspect is 86% which means very good, the effectiveness aspect is measured by error rate and completion rate, from the error rate is 0,18 which means that the error it’s still normal and from completion rate is 87,5% which means the rate of completion is high, the learnability aspect is measured by comparing the average completion time between test 1 and test 2, the comparioson got value 1,35 which means that responden need 1,35 time longer on the first task. The memorability aspect measured by comparing the average number of steps and the average number of click on test 1 and test 2. The average number of steps on test 1 are 28,8 while on test 2 are 28,6 and the average number of clicks on test 1 are 47 while on test 2 are 38. Measurement result of memorability show that user can remember and maintain the ability to use aplication. The satisfaction aspect measured by system usability scale questionnaire and gets the value 65,3 which is the score is below the standard of SUS score (68) . There are some problem related content, navigation and layout. Usability problem found during testing was given improvement recommendation to increase the usability level.
