Abstract

Seringkali orang menyeberangi jalan yang tidak sesuai dengan tempatnya, berbagai cara mereka lakukan agar sampai di tempat tujuan dengan cepat, baik pengendara maupun pejalan kaki tidak memiliki kesadaran akan keselamatan dalam berlalu lintas. Selain memicu terjadinya kecelakaan di jalan raya, juga dapat menyebabkan hilangnya nyawa. Terutama bagi orang tua yang lalai menjaga buah hatinya dan membiarkan bermain sesukanya tanpa pengawasan, sehingga tanpa disadari bahaya dapat mengancam keselamatan anaknya. Pada penelitian ini, dilakukan pengembangan game edukasi penyeberangan jalan dengan cara yang berbeda dan menyenangkan melalui penerapan teknologi game dengan memanfaatkan interaksi natural atau disebut dengan NUI (Natural User Interface) yakni teknologi Kinect, di mana hal ini menjadi kelebihan bagi anak usia dini yaitu mempermudah anak dalam memainkan game dengan gerakan alamiah tanpa harus menyentuh atau menggunakan controller game. Hasil pengujian usability testing pada penelitian ini adalah persentase rata-rata kenaikan nilai dari seluruh penguji mengalami kenaikan sebesar 72%. Sedangkan hasil pengujian fun testing yang diperoleh dari pengisisan kuesioner oleh penguji dan dihitung melalui perhitungan interpretasi indeks skala Likert didapatkan hasil yakni keseluruhan game yang disajikan adalah 76%, tampilan game adalah 100%, unsur fun dalam game adalah 84%, dan tingkat kesulitan game adalah 72%.

English Abstract

People often crossing the road that isn't in the right place, they do any ways to get to their destination immediately, both riders and pedestrians haven't any awareness of safety in traffic. This can be triggering an accident on the highway and also can cause death. Especially for parents who neglect to take care of their children and let them play as they like without parents' control, so unconsciously the danger can threaten the safety of their child. In this research was done the development of educational game for crossing the streets in different and exciting ways through the application of game technology that was utilizing by natural interaction called NUI (Natural User Interface) i.e. Kinect technology, where it became an advantage for early childhood that was easier for children in playing the game with a natural movement without needed to touch or use a game controller. Usability testing results in this study was the percentage of average increase value of all testers increased by 72%. While the results of fun testing that was obtained from the questionnaires which was filled out by the testers and calculated through the calculation of Likert-scale index interpretation was obtained the result that the overall game presented was 76%, the game's display was 100%, the fun element in the game was 84%, and the difficulty level of the game was 72%.
