Abstract

Penelitian ini menguji pelanggaran maksim yang dilakukan oleh para karakter di Indonesia Lawak Klub Episode Hati Hati Pilih Kelompok (ILK). ILK merupakan sebuah program komedi yang di tayangkan di Trans7. Program ini membahas berbagai topik yang sedang hangat diperbincangkan di publik seperti topik politik, ekonomi, sosial dll dengan kacamata humor. Untuk menampilkan efek humor, pelanggaran maksim di lakukan oleh peserta. Oleh karena itu, penelitian in dilaksanakan untuk menjawab rumusan masalah yang ada yaitu (1) tipe maksim apa saja yang dilanggar dan (2) apa makna yang dimaksud di balik pelanggaran maksim tersebut. Penelitian ini mengunakan pendekatan kualitatif karena data tersebut merupakan kalimat-kalimat yang mengandung pelanggaran maksim dan sumber data tersebut diperoleh dari transkripsi acara ILK episode Hati-Hati Pilih Kelompok. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mentranskrip video ILK dan memilih kalimat-kalimat yang mengandung pelanggaran maksim. Peneliti menemukan bahwa semua maksim telah dilanggar oleh 9 karakter di ILK. Maksim tersebut adalah maksim kuantitas, maksim kualitas, maksim relevansi dan maksim pelaksanaan. Pelanggaran sering terjadi dikarenakan para karakter ingin membuat efek lucu. Makna yang dimaksud dibalik pelanggaran maksim adalah para karakter menginginkan kalimat yang mereka langgar makismnya bisa menjadi sebuah candaan yang dapat membuat penonton tertawa. Untuk peneliti selanjutnya, disarankan untuk menggunakan teori yang berbeda seperti teori dari Grice (1975) untuk melakukan penelitian selanjutnya. Peniliti juga menyarankan untuk menggunakan objek yang berbeda seperti menggunakan novel atau pidato di pernikahan.

English Abstract

This study examined the flouted maxim done by the characters of Indonesia Lawak Klub (ILK) in Hati-Hati Pilih Kelompok Episode. ILK is a comedic show aired on Trans7. This program discusses the current topic such as politic, social, economic etc happening in the country in a humorous way. To present the humorous effect, the maxims are flouted by the participants. This study thus is conducted to find out (1) what are the types of maxims flouted in the show and (2) what is the intended meaning of the flouted maxim based on the classification of the flouted maxim. This study used qualitative approach since the data are the utterances containing flouting maxims and the data source is the transcription of the show in the particular episode of hati-hati pilih kelompok. The researcher collected the data by transcribing the downloaded ILK video and chose the utterances that contain flouted maxim. The researcher found that all of the maxims are flouted by 9 characters in the show. The maxims are maxim of quality, maxim of quantity, maxim of relation and maxim of manner. In the show, the flouting of maxims often happened to make a humorous effect. The intended meaning behind the flouted maxims is that the characters intended their flouted utterance as a way to make a joke so the audience can laugh. For the next researchers, it is recommended that they use different theory when conducting a similar study such as the theory from Grice (1975). The researcher also suggests the next researcher use different object to study flouting of maxim for example, novel or wedding speeches.
