Abstract
Kecamatan Junrejo merupakan daerah pengembangan bawang merah varieras Super Philip. Hasil survei menunjukkan produktivitas aktual bawang merah bervariasi antara 10-17 ton/ha umbi kering sementara produktivitas optimal 18 ton/ha. Evaluasi lahan dibutuhkan untuk memberikan gambaran mengenai tingkat kesesuaian lahan dan faktor-faktor pembatas serta tindakan pengelolaan yang diperlukan. Pengelolaan faktor pembatas yang tepat dapat meningkatkan kualitas lahan, sehingga produktivitas bawang merah dapat meningkat. Evaluasi lahan dilakukan dengan bantuan program Automated Land Evaluation System (ALES). Tujuan penelitian: 1) Menganalisis kelas kesesuaian lahan dan mengetahui faktor pembatas bawang merah varietas Super Philip di Kecamatan Junrejo, Kota Batu. 2) Memodifikasi kriteria persyaratan penggunaan lahan tanaman bawang merah Djaenudin et al., (2011) untuk dijadikan acuan pengelolaan budidaya bawang merah di Kecamatan Junrejo, Kota Batu. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Junrejo, Kota Batu pada bulan November 2016-Februari 2017. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode survei. Penentuan titik pengamatan berdasarkan satuan peta lahan yang dibuat dari overlay peta lereng, geologi, bentuk lahan dan jenis tanah. Karakteristik lahan yang diukur yaitu temperatur, curah hujan, drainase, tekstur, kedalaman tanah, KTK, KB, pH, C-organik, N total, P Bray, K-dd, lereng, bahaya erosi, batuan permukaan dan singkapan batuan. Karakteristik lahan yang telah dianalisis kemudian dilakukan matching dengan persyaratan penggunaan lahan Djaenudin et al., (2011). Modifikasi persyaratan penggunaan lahan Djaenudin et al., (2011) menggunakan metode boundary line. Hasil matching persyaratan penggunaan lahan menurut Djaenudin et al., (2011) dengan karakteristik lahan menghasilkan kelas kesesuaian lahan S3 sebanyak sepuluh satuan peta lahan dengan faktor pembatas spesifik pH, C-Organik, N total dan K-dd. Dua satuan peta lahan termasuk dalam kelas kesesuaian lahan S2 dengan faktor pembatas spesifik yaitu tekstur, KB, pH, C-organik, N-total dan K-dd. Persyaratan penggunaan lahan menurut Djaenudin et al., (2011) menghasilkan kelas kesesuaian lahan yang kurang sesuai dengan produktivitas aktual, sehingga perlu dilakukan modifikasi persyaratan penggunaan lahan menggunakan metode boundary line. Hasil matching penggunaan lahan menggunakan metode boundary line menghasilkan kelas kesusaian lahan S3 sebanyak enam satuan peta lahan dengan faktor pembatas spesifik yaitu C-Organik dan K-dd, sedangkan tujuh satuan peta lahan termasuk kelas kesesuaian lahan S2 dengan faktor pembatas spesifik yaitu drainase, tekstur, KTK, KB, pH, C-Organik, N total dan K-dd. Modifikasi persyaratan penggunaan lahan dilakukan pada karakteristik lahan yang memiliki hubungan kuat r=0,5 yaitu: KTK, pH, C-Organik dan K-dd dengan nilai korelasi secara berturut-turut 0,72, 0,71, 0,72 dan 0,68.
English Abstract
Junrejo Sub-district is a development area of Super Philip variant red onion. The survey results show that the actual productivity of red onion varies between 10-17 tons / ha of dry tuber while the optimal productivity is 18 tons / ha. Land evaluation is needed to provide an overview of the level of land suitability and the limiting factors and necessary management actions. Management of appropriate limiting factors can improve the quality of the land, so that the productivity of red onions can increase. Land evaluation is done with the assistance of the Automated Land Evaluation System (ALES) program. The objectives of the research are: 1) To analyze the land suitability class and to know the limiting factor of Super Philip varieties in Junrejo Sub-District, Batu City. 2) Modify the criteria of land using requirements of red onion plants Djaenudin et al., (2011) to serve as a reference of red onion cultivation management in Junrejo Sub-district, Batu City. The research was conducted in Junrejo Sub-district, Batu City in November 2016-February 2017. This research was conducted by survey method. Determination of observation points based on units of land maps made from overlay of slope, geology, landform and soil type. The characteristics of the land measured are temperature, rainfall, drainage, texture, soil depth, CEC, KB, C-Organic, N total, P Bray, K-dd, slope, the danger of erosion, surface rock and rock outcrop. Characteristics of land that have been analyzed and then conducted matching with land use requirements Djaenudin et al., (2011). Modified land using the requirements of Djaenudin et al., (2011) using the boundary line method. The result of matching of land use requirements according to Djaenudin et al., (2011) with land characteristics resulted in land suitability class of S3 as many as ten units of land maps with specific limiting factors of pH, C-Organic, N total and K-dd. Two units of land maps are included in the land suitability class S2 with specific limiting factors ie texture, KB, pH, C-Organic, N total and K-dd. Land use requirements according to Djaenudin et al. (2011) result in land suitability class that is less suitable with actual productivity, so it is necessary to modify the land use requirements using the boundary line method. The result of land use matching using boundary line method resulted in a class of S3 land dispersal of six units of land maps with specific limiting factors, namely C-Organik and K-dd, while seven units of land maps include land suitability class S2 with specific limiting factors ie drainage, texture, CEC, KB, pH, C-Organic, Ntotal and K-dd. Modification of land use requirements was carried out on land characteristics with strong relation r = 0.5 ie: CEC, pH, C-Organic and K-dd with correlation values 0.72, 0.71, 0.72 and 0,68.
