Abstract
Jagung merupakan salah satu tanaman pangan yang hingga kini masih diminati oleh masyarakat karena kebutuhannya sebagai bahan pangan utama, pakan ternak dan bahan industri. Kebutuhan produksi yang semakin meningkat mendorong petani untuk melakukan pertanian secara konvensional berbasis anorganik yang memiliki ketergantungan tinggi terhadap bahan-bahan kimia buatan termasuk pupuk kimia guna mencapai produksi yang maksimal. Penggunaan pupuk kimia yang berlebihan menyebabkan pencemaran dan kerusakan lingkungan, serangan hama penyakit yang sulit dikendalikan dan penurunan jumlah produksi tanaman akibat menurunnya kandungan bahan organik. Kesadaran petani mulai meningkat terhadap dampak penggunaan pupuk kimia. Petani mulai menerapkan penggunaan pupuk organik yaitu pupuk bokashi. Pupuk bokashi mampu meningkatkan produksi tanaman, ramah lingkungan dan mampu menekan serangan hama penyakit. Namun, dalam pengaplikasian pupuk bokashi membutuhkan volume yang cukup besar dan membutuhkan proses yang relatif lama. Sehingga muncul pertanyaan apakah petani selama ini merasa tidak puas terhadap penggunaan pupuk bokashi. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar kepuasan petani jagung terhadap penggunaan pupuk bokashi selama ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) mengetahui tingkat kepuasan petani terhadap penggunaan pupuk bokashi 2) mengetahui tingkat kepentingan dan tingkat kinerja dari atribut pupuk bokashi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Metode penentuan sampel yang digunakan ialah metode simple random sampling dengan responden yang diperoleh sebanyak 55 orang. Alat analisis yang digunakan ialah Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) serta Importance Performance Analysis (IPA). Hasil perhitungan CSI menunjukkan nilai sebesar 74,32% yang berada pada rentang 66%-80,99% yang artinya bahwa konsumen berada pada kriteria “puas”. Kepuasan yang dirasakan oleh petani membuat produsen masih perlu meningkatkan kembali atribut-atribut pupuk bokashi agar kepuasan yang dirasakan petani lebih maksimal. Hasil dari perhitungan IPA menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kinerja dan tingkat kepentingan dari atribut pupuk bokashi sebesar 93,84% artinya bahwa kinerja dari masing-masing atribut telah dapat memenuhi harapan dari petani tetapi masih perlu dilakukan perbaikan lagi. Atribut yang perlu diperbaiki adalah atribut kemampuan mempercepat tanaman karena memiliki nilai kepentingan yang tinggi namun nilai kinerjanya masih rendah.
English Abstract
Corn is one of the food crops that still in demand by the community because of its needs as a main foodstuff, animal feed and industrial materials. Increasing production needs encourange the farmers to engage in conventional agriculture which inorganic based with high dependence of chemicals substance including chemical fertilizers, to achieve maximum production. The excessive use of chemical fertilizers has become a pollution and environmental damage, difficult to control damage or insects attacks and reduce the organic structure of land which can reducing the effort and the productivity. Awareness of farmers began to increase the impact of the use of chemical fertilizers. Farmers began to apply the use of organic fertilizer that is bokashi fertilizer. Bokashi fertilizer can increase crop production, environmentally friendly and able to oppose disease and insects. However, application of bokashi fertilizer requires a large volume and in general to see the harvest from the used of bokashi fertilizer this takes a relatively long process. So the question arises did the farmer are unsatisfied with bokhasi fertilizers. This study was conducted to find out the levels of the satisfaction of corn farmers to the use of bokashi fertilizer during this time. This study aims to 1) to know the level of farmers satisfaction on the use of bokashi fertilizer 2) determine the level of importance and performance level of bokashi fertilizer attributes. This study uses a quantitative approach. Sample determination method used is simple random sampling method with the respondents obtained as many as 55 people. The analysis tools used are Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA). CSI calculation results show the value of 74.32% which is in the range 66% -80.99% which means that consumers are at the criterion "satisfied". Satisfaction is felt by farmers to make producers still need to improve the attributes of bokashi fertilizer in order to fully satisfy the farmers. The result of IPA’s calculation shows that the level of performance and the importance of bokashi fertilizer attribute of 93.84% means that the performance of each attribute has been able to agree with the expectations of the farmers but still needs to be done again. The attribute that needs to be improved is the attribute of the ability to accelerate the plant because it has a high importance value but its performance value is still low.
