Abstract

This research is conducted in PT. Angkasa Pura I (Persero) Juanda International Airport in Surabaya, East Java, which aims to determine the effect of work stress on employee motivation, the influence of employee motivation on employees performance, the effect of work stress on employees work performance, and the effect of work stress on work performance mediated by employees work motivation. The research design uses explanatory research. The study population is employees in PT. Angkasa Pura I (Persero) Juanda Airport in Surabaya, East Java. The samples are 161 respondents. Data collection method of this study uses a questionnaire measured using Likert scale, while path analysis techniques are used to determine the effect of work stress on employee performance mediated by the ability of PT. Angkasa Pura I (Persero) Juanda International Airport in Surabaya, East Java. The results of this study are: (1) work stress affects directly and significantly work motivation, (2) work stress positively and significantly affects employee performance, (3) work motivation positively and significantly influence employee’s achievement, (4) working stress affect indirectly employee performance through work motivation as an intervening variable in PT. Angkasa Pura I (Persero) Juanda International Airport in Surabaya, East Java. These results indicate that PT. Angkasa Pura I (Persero) Juanda International Airport in Surabaya, East Java, has managed work stress well as a way to improve the motivation and performance of employees.
