Abstract
Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menemukan pelanggaran maksim dan maksud yang tersirat yang digunakan oleh pemeran dari program WIB. Untuk mencapai tujuan dari penelitian, peneliti menggunakan teori dari Grundy (2000). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan sumber data yang digunakan adalah hasil transkrip dari video Waktu Indonesia Bercana di Youtube. Berdasarkan hasil dari analisis. Diungkapkan bahwa empat macam pelanggaran maksim telah digunakan oleh pemeran dalam video yang mengandung tawa dari penonton. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menemukan 36 kalimat-kalimat yang mengandung pelanggaran maksim yang menyebabkan humor. Maksim yang paling sering dilanggar adalah maksim cara dengan 16 kalimat. Maksim kedua yang sering dilanggar adalah maksim hubungan dengan 10 kalimat diikuti oleh maksim kuantitas dengan 6 kalimat. Dan yang terakhir adalah maksim kualitas dengan 4 kalimat. Pelanggaran maksim sering terjadi karena pembicara ingin mengatakan sesuatu yang tidak jelas. Selain itu, pelanggaran juga sering digunakan untuk menciptakan lelucon untuk kepentingan hiburan. Bagi peneliti berikutnya dengan topik yang sama, direkomendasikan untuk memilih obyek lain untuk dianalisa misalnya radio, pidato formal, cerita pendek, buku, komik, majalah atau video di internet untuk memperluas pemahaman tentang pelanggaran maksim. Mereka juga disarankan untuk menggunakan teori lain supaya lebih spesifik dalam menganalisis data.
English Abstract
This study was conducted to find out the flouting of maxim and the intended meaning used by the characters of WIB Program. To reach the research objectives, the researcher used the theory from Grundy (2000). This research used qualitative method and the data source which used was the transcription of Waktu Indonesia Bercanda video in Youtube. Based on the result of analysis. It was revealed that four types of flouting the maxim used by the characters in the video consist of humorous effect of the audience. In this research, the researcher found 36 utterances that contain flouting of maxims and it produces a humor. The most frequently flouted maxim is maxim of manner which is 16 utterances. The second most frequently flouted maxim is maxim of relation which is 10 utterances and third is maxim of quantity which is 6 utterances. The least frequently flouted maxim is maxim of quality which is 4 utterances. The flouting frequently the speaker tends to say obscure statement. Besides, the flouting of frequently used to create humor in the sake of entertainment in the program. For the next researches with the same research topic, it is recommended to choose other objects to be analyzed for instance radio, formal speech, short story, books, comics, magazines or videos from internet to broaden the understanding of flouting of maxims phenomenon. They are also suggested to use different theory of maxim flouted and be more specified in analyzing the data.
