English Abstract

Implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) at this time is no longer a mandatory activity, but the activity has turned into one part of the business strategy of the company as a form of embodiment of the concept of corporate sustainability. Companies are beginning to respond to this concept as a form of corporate responsibility to the community as well as a means to build a reputation and enhance the companys competitive advantage. PT. Indofarma is one of the companies that have implemented CSR programs in its operations. This research is aqualitative descriptive study aimed to describe the implementation and the report of CSR program PT. Indofarma (Persero) Tbk., As well as measure the effectiveness of the implementation of the program. The results showed that the type of social responsibility applied by PT. Indofarma is corporate philanthropy. From the research conducted, it can be concluded that PT Indoframa (persero) Tbk has implemented their CSR to society as their responsibility. PT Indofarma (persero) Tbk has undertaken various CSR activities based on their three main policies in doing CSR, such as creating good corporate governance (pay attention to human resources), doing interactive communication with important parties (stakeholder), and giving real contribution to society.So far the participation of people for CSR is very positive.
