Abstract
Penelitaan ini membahas mengenai startegi bertahan yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswi lesbian atas diskriminasi yang dihadapi di perguruan tinggi. Adanya konsep mengenai heteronormativitas memunculkan diskriminasi yang dialami oleh mahasiswi lesbian. Diksrimininasi juga muncul di ranah perguruan tinggi di Kota Malang. Bentuk diskriminasi disini bermacam-macam seperti penolakan, pengucilan, dan perbedaan. Dari diskriminasi yang dialami oleh mahasiswi lesbian ini pada akhirnya membuat mahasiswi lesbian melakukan startegi untuk tetap bertahan menjadi lesbian. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori dari Bourdieu mengenai habitus, ranah, modal dan strategi. Untuk melakukan startegi, mahasiswi lesbian menggunakan habitus dan modal yang mereka miliki. Modal yang dimiliki oleh mahasiswi lesbian dapat dipertukaran, diolah, diperluas, dipertahankan, dan diakumulasi dengan modal-modal yang sudah dimilikinya. Modal yang dimaksud ialah modal sosial, modal budaya, modal ekonomi, dan modal simbolik. Dari keempat modal yang sudah dimiliki oleh mahasiswi lesbian pada akhirnya mahasiswi lesbian bisa melakukan startegi untuk menghadapi diskriminasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Atas analisis metode ini memunculkan dua strategi yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswi lesbian. Strategi tersebut adalah startegi reproduksi dan strategi rekonversi modal.
English Abstract
The purpose of this research is to discuss the strategy of lesbian student who survived against discrimination they were facing. An existence of heteronormativitas concept bring out the experienced of discrimination for lesbian student. Discrimination also emerged in college in Malang City. The form of discrimination in here is diverse such as rejection, ostracized, and distinction. Eventually this behavior of discrimination made lesbian student took on strategy to survive as a lesbian. This research used theory of Bourdieu about habitus, domain, capital, and strategy. For doing the strategy, the lesbian student used habitus and capital that they owned. Capital that lesbian students owned could be exchanged, be treated, be expanded, be maintained, and be accumulated with modals that they were owned. The meaning of capital is about social modal, culture of capital, economical modal, and symbolic modal. From these fours modals that lesbian students owned eventually, lesbian students could do the strategy to deal with discrimination. This research methodology used is qualitative descritive. The achieved results show that within analysis approach brings out two difference strategy that was conducted by lesbian students. The strategy is about reproduction strategy and reconversion modal strategy.
