Abstract
Suplementasi pakan menggunakan Bregadium Goat Growth Nutrients yang mengandung mineral Ca, P, Fe, Cu, Zn, Ni dimungkinkan dapat meningkatkan penampilan produksi dan reproduksi ternak kambing. Tujuan penelitian yaitu mengetahui penampilan produksi dan reproduksi Kambing Peranakan Ettawa (PE) jantan dengan suplementasi pakan Bregadium Goat Growth Nutrients di UPT PT-HMT, Singosari, Malang. Hasil penelitian diharapkan dapat dipakai sebagai bahan rekomendasi peternak rakyat guna meningkatkan produktivitas dan reproduksi ternak kambing Peranakan Ettawa (PE). Materi penelitian adalah kambing Peranakan Ettawa (PE) jantan sebanyak 18 ekor dengan kisaran umur 11 – 15 bulan dengan rataan bobot badan 31,86 ± 3,44 Kg. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) sub sampling dengan tiga perlakuan, tiga kelompok, dan dua anak contoh. Perlakuan penelitian yaitu pemberian suplementasi pakan BGGN 0 ml/ekor/hari (P0), pemberian suplementasi x pakan BGGN 10 ml/ekor/hari (P1), pemberian suplementasi pakan BGGN 20 ml/ekor/hari (P2). Pengambilan data konsumsi dilakukan setiap hari, pengambilan data bobot badan dan lingkar skrotum dilakukan setiap 2 minggu, penampungan semen dilakukan diakhir penelitian. Variabel yang diukur adalah: konsumsi pakan, pertambahan bobot badan, konversi pakan, pertambahan lingkar skrotum dan kualitas makroskopis semen. Data yang diperoleh dari setiap pengamatan ditabulasi dan dianalisa menurut prosedur sidikragam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa suplementasi pakan Bregadium Goat Growth Nutrients tidak berbeda nyata (P>0,05) pada rataan pertambahan bobot badan harian, P0 (79,16 g/ekor/hari), P1 (90,56 g/ekor/hari), P2 (81,67 g/ekor/hari); konsumsi pakan, P0 (1073,52 g/ekor/hari), P1 (1090,84 g/ekor/hari), P2 (1031,88 g/ekor/hari); konversi pakan, P0 (13,68), P1 (13,36) P2 (12,64); dan lingkar skrotum, P0 (23,83), P1(23,83), P2 (23,16). Peneliti tidak berhasil melakukan penampungan semen kambing Peranakan Ettawa (PE) jantan dikarenakan umur ternak yang tergolong muda dan ternak belum pernah ditampung menggunakan metode vagina buatan. Kesimpulan penelitian ini Suplementasi pakan menggunakan Bregadium Goat Growth Nutrients tidak meningkatkan produksi dan reproduksi pada ternak Kambing Peranakan Ettwa jantan. Hal ini dikarenakan rasio kandungan mineral dalam Bregadium Goat Growth Nutrients yang tidak ideal. Perbandingan kandungan Kalsium (Ca) dan fosfor (P) pada Bregadium Goat Growth Nutrients yaitu 1:52,69. Dampak yang dapat ditimbukan yaitu ternak mengalami gangguan metabolisme bila dikonsumsi dalam jangka panjang.
English Abstract
The objective of this research was to examine the effect of suplementation feed Bregadium Goat Growth Nutrients on male Ettawa Crossbred about performance production and reproduction at UPT PT-HMT, Singosari, Malang. This Research was carried out at UPT PT-HMT, Singosari, Malang from March – May 2017. Suplementation feed of Bregadium Goat Growth Nutrients was divided into three group, there were P0 (0 ml/head/day of Bregadium Goat Growth Nutrients as Control); P1 (10 ml/head/day of Bregadium Goat Growth Nutrients); and P2 (20 ml/head/day of Bregadium Goat Growth Nutrients). Parameter of this research was daily weight gain, consumption rate, convertion rate, circumference of scrotal, and quality macroscopic of semen. Data of this research was analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA). The result showed that suplementation feed Bregadium Goat Growth Nutrients, was not different (P>0.05) on the average of daily weight gain, P0 (79.16 g/head/day), P1 (90.56 g/head/day), P2 (81.67 g/head/day); feed intake, P0 (1073.52 g/head/day), P1 (1090.84 g/head/day), P2 (1031.88 g/head/day); feed conversion rate, P0 (13.68), P1 (13.36), P2 (12.64); and circumference of scrotal, P0 (23.83 cm), P1(23.83 viii cm), P2 (23.16 cm). The researcher was fail to collect semen of male Ettawa Crossbred because the age was too young and never be collected semen with modify vagina method. The conclusion of this research was suplementation feed Bregadium Goat Growth Nutrients were not made an increasement on performance production and reproduction of male Ettawa Crossbred. That matter caused by ratio of minerals in Bregadium Goat Growth Nutrients were not ideal. Ratio of Calcium and Phosphorus in Bregadium Goat Growth Nutrients were 1:52.69. Metabolic diseases may appear if the supplementation was applied in long term.
