Abstract

Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian asosiatif/hubungan yaitu penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara dua variabel atau lebih. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji pengaruh Good Corporate Governance yang meliputi komposisi dewan komisaris, kepemilikan institusional dan komite audit serta leverage keuangan terhadap manajemen laba. Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode analisis regresi berganda. Hasil pengujian yang telah dilakukan dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa Good Corporate Governance yang meliputi komposisi dewan komisaris, kepemilikan institusional dan komite audit serta leverage keuangan secara simultan berpengaruh terhadap manajemen laba perusahaan perbankan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Good Corporate Governance yang meliputi komposisi dewan komisaris, kepemilikan institusional dan komite audit serta leverage keuangan secara parsial berpengaruh terhadap manajemen laba perusahaan perbankan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa adanya pengaruh negatif dan signifikan dewan komisaris terhadap manajemen laba menunjukkan bahwa berkaitan dengan independensi. Kepemilikan institusional yang tinggi akan memberikan fleksibilitas kepada manajer untuk melakukan tindakan pengelolaan laba yang efisien dalam rangka untuk melindungi perusahaan dalam melakukan antisipasi kejadian-kejadian yang tidak terduga untuk keuntungan pihak-pihak yang terlibat dalam kontrak. Adanya pengaruh yang tidak signifikan antara komite audit terhadap manajemen laba menunjukkan bahwa komite audit yang dibentuk belum sepenuhnya mampu berperan dalam mengoptimalkan fungsi pengawasan yang sebelumnya merupakan tanggung jawab penuh dari dewan komisaris sehingga belum mampu mengurangi tindak manipulasi laba yang dilakukan oleh manajemen. Perusahaan yang memiliki tanggungan beban bunga yang tinggi berarti menggunakan hutang yang tinggi. Apabila perusahaan yang memiliki beban hutang yang tinggi, maka untuk menutupi risiko yang besar tersebut manajemen berusaha menunjukkan prospek kinerja yang bagus sebagai jaminan terhadap risiko perusahaan.

English Abstract

This watchfulness belongs asosiatif/connection watchfulness kind that is watchfulness that aim to detect connection between two variables or more. The purpose of this watchfulness detects the influence of good corporate governance that covers board of comisioner composition, institutional ownership and audit committee with finance leverage towards earnings management. The analysis method that used in this watchfulness doubled regression analysis method. From the result of researching that has been done, so can be pulled conclusion that good corporate governance which cover board of comisioner composition, institutional ownership and audit committee with finance leverage influential simultaneous towards earnings management companies of registered banking at Indonesia effect exchange. Good Corporate Governance which cover board of comisioner composition, institutional ownership and audit committee with finance leverage influential partial towards earnings management companies of registered banking at Indonesia effect exchange. The variable of influential institutional ownership has a dominant influence towards earnings management companies of registered banking at Indonesia effect exchange. The result are some negative responses and some significant ones, from comisioner toward management of profit linked with independency. Institusional shareholdings in high level will give flexibility to the manager to do efficient some earning management actions in order to protect the corporation, and the anticipation before unexpected threats used by participied parties those involved in contract. Unsignificant responses between audit committee toward earning management shows the formed audit committee isn’t actually ready to handle the optimalization of security function,so that can’t fully vanish earning management. Corporation who has high percentage of interest means the usage of high amount of debt. So the management insists to show any good working prospect as a guarantee of corporation risks.
