Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat adanya perbedaan penilaian wawancara kerja terhadap kandidat dari Etnis Madura dan Etnis Flores. Penelitian ini bersifat eksperimen-kuantitatif. Pengambilan data diperoleh dari 60 partisipan dengan rentang usia 19-23 tahun, laki-laki dan perempuan serta berasal dari mahasiswa Psikologi Universitas Brawijaya. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah between subject dengan true eksperiment. Penilaian wawancara kerja menggunakan kamus kompetensi dengan 8 kompetensi yang diukur yaitu: Conceptual Thingking, Continous Improvement, Managing Quality, Team Work, Communication, Leadership Skill, Integrity, Drive for Excellent. Hasil penelitian yang didapat menyatakan terdapat perbedaan hasil penilaian wawancara kerja antara kandidat etnis Madura dan kandidat etnis Flores ditunjukkan dengan nilai signifikansi 0,001 (<0,05) dan rerata dari kandidat Etnis Madura sebesar 35,37 dan nilai rerata Etnis Flores sebesar 31,4. Stereotip kandidat etnis Madura yang muncul pada penelitian ini secara berurutan adalah pekerja keras, terbuka, berani, ambisius, solidaritas, ramah, kuat, bicara cepat, religius, perantau, bernada tinggi, mudah marah, keras, pedagang, kasar, galak, dan tertutup secara berurutan. Stereotip kandidat etnis Flores secara berurutan adalah terbuka, pekerja keras, berani, solidaritas, berkelompok, ambisius, perantau, kuat, bicara cepat, mudah marah, keras kepala, bernada tinggi, religius, tertutup, galak¸ pedagang, kasar, dan ramah.

English Abstract

This study aims to see the existence of differences in the assessment of job interviews between candidates from the Madura ethnic and Flores ethnic groups. This research is experimental-quantitative. Data collection was obtained from 60 participants with age range 19-23 years, and came from University Brawijaya Psychology student. The research design used is within subject. The result of the research shows that there is difference of job interview result between Madura ethnic candidate and Flores ethnic candidate. Stereotypes of ethnic Madura candidates appearing in this study are hardworking, open, brave, ambitious, solidarity, friendly, strong, fast talk, religious, immigrants, high-pitched, irritable, violent, merchant, rude, gruff, and sealed sequentially . This is accordingly with Faraby's (2014) study, which says that Madura ethnic are known to be hardworking and self-reliant ethnic groups.
