Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji persepsi mahasiswa akuntansi mengenai faktor yang mempengaruhi pemilihan profesi sebagai akuntan, baik sebagai akuntan publik, akuntan pemerintah, akuntan perusahaan maupun akuntan pendidik. Faktor-faktor yang digunakan sebagai variabel adalah gaji, pengakuan profesional, pelatihan profesional, nilai-nilai sosial, lingkungan kerja, pertimbangan pasar kerja, dan kesetaraan gender. Data diperoleh dari hasil penyebaran kuesioner pada beberapa kampus di Kota Malang (UB, Universitas Merdeka, Universitas Machung, dan STIE Malangkucecwara). Jumlah mahasiswa akuntansi yang menjadi objek penelitian sebanyak 224 orang. Penelitian ini menggunakan SPSS versi 17 dengan analisis data Regresi Logistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan variabel yang mempengaruhi adalah Pelatihan Profesional dan Lingkungan kerja, artinya. Dua variabel tersebut adalah variabel yang paling diperhitungkan mahasiswa dalam memilih profesi.
English Abstract
This research aims toidentify the accounting students perceptions about factors that affect the selection of the accounting profession, either as a public accountant, government accountant, accounting corporate or accounting educators.Factors used as a variable is salary, professional ackowledgment, professional training, social values, work environment, labor market considerations, and gender equality. Data obtained from the results of a questionnaire on several campuses in the city of Malang (UB, Merdeka University, University Machung, and stie Malangkucecwara). Number of accounting students that the object of research as much as 224 people. The research was uses SPSS version 17 with Logistic Regretion data analysis. The results show the variables that influence is a Professional Training and Work environment, meaning. Two variables are taken into account the variable most students in choosing a profession
