Abstract
Skripsi ini menganalisis bagaimana strategi yang dilakukan Tiongkok dalam rangka menjamin keamanan energinya di negara-negara Kawasan Afrika periode tahun 2003 hingga 2009. Pertumbuhan ekonomi Tiongkok meningkatkan jumlah konsumsi energinya khususnya minyak bumi, sedangkan kapasitas produksi minyak bumi dalam negeri Tiongkok tidak mampu mencukupi jumlah konsumsinya, sehingga mendorong Tiongkok bekerjasama dengan negara-negara penghasil minyak bumi terbesar di Kawasan Afrika yaitu Sudan, Nigeria dan Angola. Fokus skripsi ini kemudian melihat bagaimana strategi keamanan energi Tiongkok di Kawasan Afrika karena Kawasan Afrika memiliki perbedaan dibandingkan dengan Kawasan lainnya. Untuk menganalisis hal tersebut digunakan konsep strategi keamanan negara importir untuk melihat pola strategi yang diimplementasikan Tiongkok di Kawasan Afrika.
English Abstract
This research analyzes how the strategy undertaken by China in order to secure its energy security in the countries of the African region from 2003 to 2009. China's economic growth increases the amount of its energy consumption, especially cude oil, while China's domestic crude oil production capacity is insufficient for its consumption, thus encouraging China to cooperate with the largest crude oil producing countries in the African Region of Sudan, Nigeria and Angola. The focus of this paper then looks at how China's energy security strategy in the African Region because the African Region has a difference compared with other Regions. To analyze this, it is used the concept of an importer country security strategy to see the pattern of strategies implemented by China in the African Region.
