Abstract
This study aims to find the evidence whether the Indonesian Sustainability Reporting Award (ISRA) has the influence on the investor’s decision . This study uses the qualitative research method. Meanwhile, a content analysis of stock movement data for 5 days before and after the ISRA 2011 is chosen as the research measurement tool. ISRA itself constitutes an award held by the National Center for Sustainability Reporting (NCSR) which aims to motivate and accelerate the sustainability reporting of Indonesian companies by rewarding the outstanding attempts to communicate the corporate performance in three aspects (economic, social, and environment). Meanwhile, this award relates to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity which is undertaken by every company in Indonesia is required by the Government of Indonesia through the Law 25 of 2007 on Capital Investments and the Law 40 of 2007 on Limited Companies. Furthermore, it was found in this study that there was the difference in investor’s decision which is to buy and/or sell the stock. Such decision was expressed in three different forms of reactions, namely positive reaction , no reaction , and negative reaction .
English Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan bukti apakah Indonesian Sustainability Reporting Award (ISRA) mempunyai pengaruh terhadap keputusan investor . Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Sementara itu, analisis isi terhadap data pergerakan saham selama 5 hari sebelum dan sesudah ISRA 2011 dipilih sebagai alat ukur penelitian. ISRA sendiri merupakan penghargaan yang diselenggarakan oleh the National Center for Sustainability Reporting (NCSR) yang bertujuan untuk memotivasi dan mempercepat pelaporan keberlanjutan perusahaan di Indonesia dengan memberi upaya luar biasa untuk mengkomunikasikan kinerja perusahaan dalam tiga aspek (ekonomi, sosial, dan lingkungan). Sementara itu, penghargaan ini berkaitan dengan kegiatan Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) yang dilakukan oleh setiap perusahaan di Indonesia diwajibkan oleh Pemerintah Indonesia melalui Undang-Undang nomor 25 Tahun 2007 tentang Penanaman Modal dan Undang-Undang nomor 40 Tahun 2007 tentang Perseroan Terbatas. Selanjutnya, penelitian ini mengungkapkan terdapat perbedaan pada keputusan investor dalam membeli dan/atau menjual saham. Keputusan terebut tertuang dalam tiga reaksi yang berbeda yakni reaksi positif , tidak terdapat reaksi , dan reaksi negatif .
