Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan sistem pembayaran non tunai terhadap jumlah uang beredar di Indonesia. Jumlah uang beredar yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari jumlah uang beredar dalam arti sempit (M1) dan jumlah uang beredar dalam arti luas (M2). Sistem pembayaran non tunai yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari tiga skema transaksi, alat pembayaran menggunakan kartu (kartu kredit), e-money, dan sistem BI-RTGS. Metode yang digunakan adalah regresi data time-series. Dalam teori penciptaan uang, uang M1 maupun M2 adalah hasil penggandaan dari uang inti M0. Kelipatan dari uang inti (M0) menjadi M1 ataupun M2 dikenal masing-masing sebagai koefisien pengganda M1 dan koefisien pengganda M2. Dengan berkembangnya financial technology dan bergesernya sistem pembayaran dari tunai perlahan menjadi non tunai, maka perubahan sistem ini diduga menjadi penyebab berubahnya koefisien pengganda. Dari hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa secara simultan variabel independen berpengaruh signifikan terhadap variabel dependen. Secara parsial variabel kartu kredit berpengaruh signifikan dengan arah hubungan negatif terhadap M1 dan M2, variabel e-money berpengaruh signifikan dengan arah hubungan positif terhadap M1, namun variabel e-money tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap M2. Sedangkan variabel BI-RTGS tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap M1 dan M2.
English Abstract
The purpose of this study to determine the effect of non-cash payment system on the money supply in Indonesia. The money supply used in this study consists of narrow money (M1) and broad money (M2). The non-cash payment system used in this study consists of three transaction schemes, credit card, emoney, and BI-RTGS system payments. The method used is regression of time-series data. In the theory of money creation, M1 and M2 are the result of the multiplier of besed money M0. The multiplier of the based money (M0) to M1 or M2 are known respectively as multiplier coefficient M1 and multiplier coefficient M2. With the development of financial technology and the shifting of the cash payment system slowly into noncash, then the change of this system is suspected to be the cause of the change multiplier coefficient. From the results of the analysis shows that simultaneously independent variables significantly influence the dependent variable. Partially, the variable of credit card has significant influence with direction of negative relation to M1 and M2, e-money variable has significant effect with positive relationship toward M1, but e-money variable has no significant effect to M2. While the BIRTGS variable has no significant effect on M1 and M2.
