Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat efek metode pada Skala Ethnic Experience (SEE), menggunakan metode kuantitatif multivariat Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) dengan pendekatan metodologi multitrait-multimethod (MTMM). Subjek penelitian yaitu 400 mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik Universitas Brawijaya yang bukan berasal dari kota Malang. Empat alternatif model yang diajukan yaitu CTCM, UTCM, CTUM, dan UTUM. Berdasarkan hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa keempat model memperoleh tingkat kecocokan setara, namun model CTCM memperoleh nilai indeks kecocokan yang paling baik diantara model lainnya. Oleh karena itu, model CTCM dapat diasumsikan sebagai model fit yang menunjukkan adanya efek metode pengukuran akibat penggunaan aitem favorabel dan aitem unfavorabel, yang mempengaruhi validitas konstruk pada SEE.
English Abstract
This study aims to see method effect the scale of ethnic experience (SEE), using the multivariate quantitative method of Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) with multitrait-multimethod (MTMM) methodology approach. The sample of research is 400 students of Faculty of Social and Political Sciences of Universitas Brawijaya, which is not from Malang city. Four alternative models proposed are CTCM, UTCM, CTUM, and UTUM. Analysis results showed that the four models obtain similar levels of compatibility, but the CTCM model yields the best fit index between the other models. Therefore, the CTCM model can be assumed to be a fit model showing the impact of its use favorabele item and unfavorable, which affect the construct validity in SEE scale.
