Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tentang bagaimana brand fashion internasional dapat menyimbolkan kemewahan bagi para penggunanya. Brand-brand fashion internasional yang dianalisis, antara lain adalah HERMES, CHANEL dan LOUIS VUITTON. Penelitian ini berfokus kepada video iklan produk dari brand fashion internasional tersebut. Merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang menggunakan analisis Semiotika Roland Barthes, yang terkenal dengan denotasi dan konotasinya, sebagai dasar dari penelitian ini. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif interpretatif. Penelitian ini menunjukkan hasil, tentang analisis bagaimana kemewahan dapat berhasil disajikan dari suatu iklan produk, yang dapat dikaji dalam cara pengambilan gambar, pemilihan background, penempatan produk, dan hal-hal lain yang dapat menguatkan aspek kemewahan dari brand fashion tersebut.
English Abstract
This research aims to analyze on how international fashion brand can symbolize the luxuries to its users. International fashion brand which has been analyzed such as HERMES, CHANEL, and LOUIS VUITTON, focused on product advertisements video. This research is a qualitative research, using Semiotics analysis from Roland Barthes, who famous for his denotation and connotation of Semiotics, as the basis of this research. Following, the method used is descriptive interpretive. The results show the analysis of how a luxury is presented from a product advertising video, which can be examined from the way of shooting, the background, product placement, and other things that can strengthen the aspects of that fashion brand's luxuries.
