Abstract
Remaja merupakan generasi yang akan mengisi berbagai posisi dalam masyarakat di masa yang akan datang. Semua tindakan remaja dalam masyarakat dapat diterangkan sebagai reaksi terhadap tuntutan atau tekanan dari lingkungannya. Dalam konteks ini, kepercayaan atau mitos yang beredar di masyarakat juga akan berpengaruh kepada remaja meskipun mereka adalah remaja yang modern. Mereka tidak akan mengabaikan apa yang sudah menjadi warisan nenek moyang mereka. Karena itulah dalam studi ini penulis akan menjawab rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini yaitu (1) mengapa mitos larangan perkawinan etan kali dan kulon kali masih tetap dipercaya hingga sekarang (2) bagaimana proses sosialisasi pewarisan nilai dalam mitos larangan perkawinan etan kali dan kulon kali dari orang tua terhadap remaja (3) bagaimana konstruksi pengetahuan remaja tentang mitos larangan perkawinan etan kali dan kulon kali. Studi ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif. Proses pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan observasi partisipasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik pengambilan informan menggunakan purposif sampling. Teori yang digunakan adalah konstruksi realitas Peter L. Berger yang menjelaskan konstruksi realitas dapat terjadi dalam proses dialektika yang terjadi dalam tiga momen simultan yaitu eksternalisasi, obyektivasi, dan internalisasi. Hasil studi menunjukkan proses sosialisasi dan pewarisan nilai dalam mitos larangan perkawinan etan kali dan kulon kali dari orang tua terhadap remaja dilakukan dengan menanamkan ketakutan dan ancaman. Pada orang tua yang memang tidak mempercayai mitos, mereka melarang anak untuk percaya pada mitos tersebut. Hasilnya adalah pola konstruksi pengetahuan tersebut dapat dibedakan, antara lain: 1) mereka yang mempercayai dan meyakini, 2) mereka yang tidak percaya, 3) mereka yang percaya tetapi belum takut, 4) mereka yang merasa dan mengaku tidak percaya, 5) mereka yang ingin melawan, dan 6) mereka yang sudah tidak berdaya (pasrah).
English Abstract
Teenagers are the generation that will fill various positions in society in the future. All adolescent actions in society can be explained in reaction to the demands or pressures of their environment. In this context, beliefs or miyths circulating in society will also affect teenagers even though they are modern teenagers. They will not ignore what has become the legacy of their ancestors. That’s why in this study the authors will answer the problem formulation in this study that is (1) why the myth of marriage ban etan kali and kulon kali is still believed until now (2) how the process of socializing inheritance values in the myth of the ban on marriage etan kali and kulon kali from parents to adolescents (3) how the construction of a adolescent knowledge about the myth of the ban on marriage etan kali and kulon kali. This study uses a qualitative kind of research. The process of colecting data using participant observation, interviews, and documentation. Technique of taking informant use purposive sampling. The theory used is the construction of reality Peter L. Berger which explains the construction of reality can occur in the dialectic process that occurs in three simultaneous moments that is externalization, objectivation, and internalization. The results of the study show the process of socialization and inheritance of values in the myth of the ban on marriage etan kali and kulon kali from parents to teens is done by instilling fear and threats. In parents who do not believe in myth, they forbid children to believe in the myth. The result is that the pattern of knowledge construction can be distinguished, among other: 1) those who trust and believe, 2) unbelievers, 3) those who believe but not yet fear, 4) those who feel and confess to not believe, 5) want to fight, and 6) those who are helpless (surrender).
