Abstract
Superhero adalah karakter fiksi yang menggambarkan sesosok pahlawan dengan kekuatan super. Superhero memiliki tugas sebagai penyelamat, baik manusia maupun dunia seperti yang tergambar pada film Batman v Superman:Dawn of Justice. Film ini menggambarkan sengitnya konflik yang dihadapi oleh Superhero. Melalui film ini, penulis mencari faktor-faktor yang menjadi potensi Superhero dapat dikalahkan/dibunuh serta makna dibalik kematian Superhero. Peneliatian ini adalah kualitatif, diteliti menggunakan Superhero genre theory yang dikemukakan oleh Peter Coogan yang berlandaskan pada konsep Superhero Amerika. Penelitian ini menemukan lima faktor pemicu kematian Superhero, antara lain Senjata khusus, Pertarungan antar Superhero, terungkapnya identitas Superhero, Pertarungan Superhero dengan Supervillain dan Pengorbanan diri Superhero. Kemudian, Kematian Superhero memiliki arti sebuah kesengsaraan dan kejatuhan yang dialami negara Amerika dibalik konflik internal dan eksternal yang dihadapinya sebagai negara besar.
English Abstract
Superhero is a fictional character depicting a hero with superpowers. Superhero has the duty as a savior for both human and the world as portrayed in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice film. This film illustrates the fierce conflict faced by Superhero. Through this film, the writer looks for factors triggering the Superhero to be defeated / killed. The writer also investigates the meaning behind the Superhero's death. This research is qualitative researched using the Superhero genre theory proposed by Peter Coogan which is based on the American Superhero concept. The research found five factors that trigger Superhero's death, namely Special Weapon, the battle between Superhero, disclosure of Superhero’s identity, the battle between Superhero and Supervillain, and Superhero’s sacrifice. Later, the death of Superhero means a misery and downfall experienced by America behind the internal and external conflicts faced as a great country.
