English Abstract

Abstract PT. SBK is a company of agriculture especially in producing granular organic fertilizer. The problems faced by the company are the higher machine downtime and also the large number of rejected products. Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) is one of the methods used to measure the effectiveness of a machine. There are three factors in the OEE measurement, namely; availability rate, performance rate, and quality rate. This research will integrate OEE measurement method and lean manufacturing analysis method. The purpose of this study is expected to provide recommendations to the company in order to improve production system. From the measurement result shows that the value of availability rate is 88.82%, performance rate 93.70%, and quality rate 98.20%; then the OEE values obtained 81.73%. Based on the measurement result, then will be searched root cause by using methods of FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) especially RPN (Risk Priority Number).
