Abstract
Komunikasi adalah kebutuhan utama untuk berinteraksi di antara seluruh orang di dunia. Komunikasi dapat dikatakan sebagai suatu bagian dari aktifitas sosial yang melibatkan sekelompok orang di dalam masyarakat. Dalam berkomunikasi, sebuah proses di mana sekelompok orang memberi dan menerima informasi kepada dan dari orang lain terjadi secara terus menerus. Mereka dapat menyampaikan pemikiran dan mengungkapkan pemikiran mereka kepada orang lain dengan baik dengan berkomunikasi. Peneliti melakukan penelitian tentang implikatur di ”Kaskus” yang menunjukkan bahwa implikatur terjadi pada judul artikel. Dalam studi implikatur, peneliti menggunakan Teori Relevansi yang menguraikan konten eksplisit dan memulihkan pesan implisit sama pentingnya untuk memahami makna yang dimaksud. Ada tiga masalah yang harus dipecahkan, yaitu: (1) Apa saja eksplikatur dalam judul artikel terpilih di Kaskus ?, (2) Apa saja implikatur premis dalam judul artikel terpilih di Kaskus ?, (3) Apa implikatur kesimpulan dalam judul artikel terpilih di Kaskus ? Dalam penelitian ini, pendekatan kualitatif diterapkan dimana data dikumpulkan dalam bentuk kata atau kalimat dan tidak dalam nilai numerik. Analisis isi atau dokumen menjadi rancangan penelitian, karena peneliti menganalisis ujaran yang diambil dari Kaskus.co.id dengan menggunakan desain analisis isi, yang merupakan alat penelitian yang berfokus pada konten yang aktual yang digunakan untuk menentukan adanya kata-kata. Studi ini mengungkapkan bahwa ada dua belas judul yang mengandung implikatur. Temuan ini memperkuat Teori Relevan yang dapat mengidentifikasi makna yang disimpulkan dari informasi kontekstual dan pengetahuan latar belakang seperti yang disusun oleh Spreber dan Wilson. Penulis menyarankan untuk peneliti berikutnya yang juga tertarik untuk melakukan studi serupa tentang implikatur untuk mengambil sumber data dan / atau teori implikatur yang berbeda. Kemudian untuk Program Studi Bahasa Inggris untuk menambahkan lebih banyak referensi yang berkaitan dengan topik ini agar peneliti selanjutnya dapat menyajikan tinjauan pustaka yang lebih kaya dan mampu mendukung analisis penelitian mereka.
English Abstract
Communication is a primary need to interact among people in the world. Communication can be said as a part of social activity that involves people in a society. In communication, a process by which people give and receive information to and from others occurs continuously. They can deliver their thoughts and express their feelings to others well by communicating. The researcher conducted a study about Implicature in “Kaskus” which shows the implicature occurring in the titles of the article. In the study of implicature, the researcher use Relevance theory elaborating the explicit content and recovering the implicit message are equally important to understand the intended meaning. There are three problems in the study to be solved, namely: (1) What are the explicatures in the selected article entitled Kaskus?, (2) What are the implicated premises in the selected article entitled Kaskus?, (3) What are the implicated conclusions in the selected article entitled Kaskus? In this study, qualitative approach as applied in which the data were collected in the form of words or sentences and not in numerical scores. Content or document analysis is the research design, since the researcher analyzes the utterance that taken from Kaskus.co.id using content analysis design, which is a study tool focused on the actual content that is used to determine the presence of words. This study reveals that there are twelve titles conveying implicature. This finding is strengthen that Relevance Theory can identify the inferred meaning from the contextual information and background knowledge as proposed by Spreber and Wilson. The writer suggest for the next researcher who are also interested in conducting similar study about implicature to take different data source and/or other theory of implicature. Then for English Study Program to add more references relating to this topic in order the next researchers could present richer literature review that is able to support the analysis of their study
