Abstract
Penelitian ini dilakukan mengingat pentingnya pengetahuan mengenai corruption dan economic freedom terhadap keputusan investor untuk melakukan investment, baik Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) maupun Domestic Direct Investment (DDI). Corruption dan economic freedom perlu diperhatikan karena investasi yang akan dilakukan di suatu negara tidak hanya memperhatikan faktor ekonomi saja. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Indonesia karena Indonesia memiliki tingkat korupsi yang cukup tinggi yang sudah tergolong dalam extra ordinary crimes (kejahatan luar biasa). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan menjelaskan pengaruh Corruption terhadap Investment, mengetahui dan menjelaskan pengaruh Corruption terhadap Economic Freedom, mengetahui dan menjelaskan pengaruh Economic Freedom terhadap Investment. Jenis penelitian ini adalah explanatory research dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan data time series dari Corruption, Economic Freedom dan Investment Negara Indonesia periode tahun 2006-2016 dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 11 pengamatan. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Partial Least Square (PLS) dengan menggunakan aplikasi SmartPLS 3.2.7. Hasil penelitian ini adalah tidak terdapat pengaruh signifikan antara Corruption terhadap Investment, terdapat pengaruh signifikan antara Corruption terhadap Economic Freedom, terdapat pengaruh signifikan antara Economic Freedom terhadap Investment.
English Abstract
This research is conducted due to the importance of knowledge about the influence of corruption and economic freedom to investor’s decision to take a foreign direct investment (FDI) or domestic direct investment (DDI). Corruption and economic freedom need to be considered because the investments that will be done in a country not only pay attention to the economic factors it self. This research is done in Indonesia because Indonesia has a high level of corruption which is classified as an extra ordinary crimes The purpose of this reasearch is to find out and explain the influence of corruption on investmnet, find out and expalain the influence of corruption on economic freedom, find out the economic freedom influence on investment. The type of this research is explanatory research with quantitative approach. This research uses time series data of corruption, economic freedom and investment Indonesia during the periods of 2006-2016 with 11 observations for sample. Data analysis technique using Partial Least Square by SmartPLS 3.2.7 application. The result of the research indicate : insignificant influence of corruption towards investment, significant influence of corruption to economic freedom, significant between economic freedom towards investment.
