Abstract
Dalam setiap percakapan atau bicara, termasuk program talkshow, orang menggunakan gaya yang berbeda untuk berkomunikasi. Gaya digunakan sesuai dengan banyak keadaan. Tri Rismaharini sebagai tokoh publik telah menarik perhatian orang dalam perannya sebagai walikota Surabaya, terutama gaya ucapannya. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk menggambarkan gaya bicara yang digunakan oleh Tri Rismaharini dan alasan penggunaan gaya bicara yang berbeda. Data diambil dari program talkshow TV Hitam Putih, Mata Najwa, dan Satu Jam Lebih Dekat yang downloded dari youTube.com. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis juga menggunakan teori utama Martin Joss 1967 yang dikutip dalam (Broderick 1976) dan juga menggunakan teori pendukung lainnya tentang Chaer-Agustina (2010 dan Kridalaksana (1992) untuk menganalisis jenis gaya bicara oleh Tri Rismaharini. Penelitian ini. Penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa ada tiga jenis gaya bicara yang digunakan oleh Tri Rismaharini dalam tiga program talkshow, mereka gaya formal, gaya konsultatif, dan gaya kasual. Dalam tiga talkshow itu, jenis gaya bicara yang digunakan sebagian besar oleh Tri Rismaharini adalah konsultatif Gaya. Penulis juga menemukan tiga faktor yang mempengaruhi penggunaan gaya bicara. usia penerima, latar belakang sosial penerima, dan covergensi pidato. Penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa dalam program talk show sebagian besar menggunakan gaya konsultatif.
English Abstract
In every conversation or talk, including talkshow program, people use different styles to communicate. The styles are used in accordance to many circumstances. Tri Rismaharini as a public figure has attracted people‟s attention in her role as mayor of Surabaya, especially her speech styles. This study is aimed at describing the speech style used by Tri Rismaharini and the reasons for the use of different speech styles. The data were taken from TV talkshow programs of Hitam Putih, Mata Najwa, and Satu Jam Lebih Dekat which were downloded from YouTube.com. In this research, the writer also uses main theory of Martin Joss 1967 which cited in (Broderick 1976) and also used other supporting theory of Chaer-Agustina (2010 and Kridalaksana (1992) to analysis type of speech styles by Tri Rismaharini. This research reveals that there are three kinds of speech styles used by Tri Rismaharini in those three talkshow programs, they are formal style, consultative style, and casual style. In those three talkshows, the type of speech style which is used mostly by Tri Rismaharini is consultative style. The writer also finds three factors that affect the use of speech styles; age of the addressee, social background of addressee, and speech covergence. This research reveals that in talk show program mostly uses consultative style.
