Abstract
Praktik budaya adalah istilah yang didasarkan pada budaya yang sedang berlatih dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Praktik budaya penting untuk diamati dalam kasus mengapa menunjukkannya pada adegan dan tujuannya. Penelitian ini menganalisis praktik budaya Inggris dalam film berjudul Minion. Penelitian ini berupaya mencari tahu tiga masalah penelitian, mereka,: (1) Apa praktik budaya Inggris yang diwakili dalam film Minion? (2) Bagaimana praktik budaya ini diobati dalam film Minion? (3) Mengapa itu diperlakukan seperti itu? Penelitian ini menggunakan konsep realisme oleh John Fiske (1987) tentang kekhawatiran realitas yang dibantah pada budaya televisi. Dan beberapa teori konsep komedi, juga studi film oleh Louis Giannetti (2014). Penelitian ini menggunakan mise-en-scene (kostum, pengaturan, dan tindakan atau kinerja) Data dari penelitian ini adalah kinerja dan transkrip karakter dalam film agar mudah di Anlyzing. Data ini dalam bentuk tangkapan layar layar di film Minion. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada 4 bagian praktik budaya Inggris yang diperlakukan dengan cara yang berbeda dan berlebihan. Di antek yang berisi 5 adegan waktu minum teh dengan makna yang berbeda, 4 adegan tentang perilaku Ratu Elizabeth II, 3 adegan tentang perilaku penjaga Istana Buckingham, dan 1 adegan penggunaan korset untuk wanita Inggris. Makna yang dimaksud dengan penggunaan praktik budaya Inggris yang diperlakukan berbeda, dibesar-besarkan kekuatan untuk menjadi cara lucu yang terkait dengan genre film Minion. Film Minion yang dibuat oleh peti mati dan Balda bekerja di bawah Universal Studio sebagai orang Amerika melalui titik Cara Lucu mewakili praktik budaya Inggris seperti mereka mengkritik budaya Britsi dari budaya Amerika berdasarkan mimpi-mimpi Amerika adalah cara yang lebih baik. Di mana film ini menunjukkan keunggulan Amerika, maka kesetaraan Amerika lebih baik daripada aristokrasi Inggris. Saran kepada para peneliti berikutnya untuk menganalisis peran gender perempuan dan kepribadian mereka dalam film Minion, misalnya antara Scarlett Overkill dan Ratu Elizabeth II. Peneliti berikutnya dapat menggunakan teori kemaculan perempuan atau feminisme untuk menganalisis dan menggunakan teori yang lebih baru untuk melakukan analisis yang lebih dalam.
English Abstract
Cultural practice is a term based on the cultures that being practice in everyday life. Cultural Practice is important to observe in the case of why showing it on scenes and the purpose of it. This research analyze the British Cultural Practices in the movie entitled Minions. This research attempts to figure out three problems of the study, they are,: (1) What are the British Cultural Practices that represented in the Minions movie? (2) How are these Cultural Practices treated in the Minions movie? (3) Why is it treated that way? This research uses the concept of Realism by John Fiske (1987) about his concern of reality is contructed on Television Culture. and some theories of the concept of comedy, also movie studies’s by Louis Giannetti (2014). This research uses Mise-en-scene (costume, setting, and act or performance) The data of this research were the performance and the transcript of characters in the movie in order to be easily in anlyzing. These data is in the form of screen captures of the scenes in the Minions movie. The result of this research shows that there are 4 parts of British cultural practices being treated in different and exaggerated ways. In the Minions which contains 5 scenes of tea time with different meanings, 4 scenes about the behaviours of Queen Elizabeth II, 3 scenes about the behaviour of the Buckingham Palace’s guards, and 1 scene of the use of Corset for British Woman. The intended meaning of the use of British Cultural practices which treated in different, exaggerated even force to be funny ways related to the Minions movie genre. The Minions movie which is made by Coffin and Balda works under the Universal Studio as an American through the point of funny ways represented the British cultural practices like their criticising the Britsih cultures from the American culture based on the American dreams is a way better. Where this movie shows the American superiority, then American equality is better than British Aristocracy. The suggestion to the next researchers to analyze the role of the female gender and their persona in The Minions movie, for example between Scarlett Overkill and Queen Elizabeth II had. The next researcher can use theory of female maculinity or feminism to analyze and use more recent theory to make deeper analysis.
