Abstract
Ada banyak karya sastra yang menceritakan tentang betapa sulitnya manusia menghadapi masalah mereka dan menyelesaikannya untuk dilihat sebagai orang dewasa dan diterima oleh masyarakat. Salah satu karya sastra yang menunjukkan fakta-fakta itu dapat ditemukan di Khaled Hosseini seribu matahari yang luar biasa. Ini menceritakan tentang Mariam, karakter utama, yang menderita kehidupan kerasnya sambil mewakili aspek-aspek ibu dalam kepribadiannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis yang positif dan negatif Memutuskan objek, merumuskan masalah, menemukan teori dan pendekatan terkait, mengumpulkan data, menganalisis data, dan menarik kesimpulan. Setelah menganalisis novel, penulis mengetahui bahwa Mariam telah menyatakan arketipe ibu ke Laila dan Aziza. Mariam juga menyatakan pola dasar ibu dalam dua jenis, yang merupakan sisi positif dan sisi negatif dari ibu dalam kepribadiannya. Sisi positif ibu yang diwakili oleh Mariam adalah (1) kesadaran dan simpati ibu; (2) menghargai dan menopang; (3) naluri membantu; (4) Foster pertumbuhan dan kesuburan; (5) otoritas sihir perempuan, dan (6) kebijaksanaan dan permuliaan spiritual. Sementara itu, sisi negatif ibu yang diwakili oleh Mariam adalah (1) merayu aspek, (2) rahasia dan tersembunyi; (3) sisi gelap; dan (4) dunia kematian. Dalam mengekspresikan sisi positif dan negatif, Mariam menunjukkan bahwa dia dapat mencapai individuasi dengan bertanggung jawab untuk membunuh insiden.
English Abstract
There are many literary works that tell about how hard human being face their problem and solve it to be seen as a mature person and accepted by the society. One of literary works that shows those facts can be found in Khaled HosseiniA Thousand Splendid Suns. It tells about Mariam, the main character, who suffered from her hardship life while represented the maternal aspects in her personality. This research aims to identify and analyze the positive and negative deciding the object, formulating the problem, finding related theory and approach, collecting the data, analyzing the data, and drawing conclusion. After analyzing the novel, the writer finds out that Mariam has expressed archetype of mother to Laila and Aziza. Mariam also expressed archetype of mother in two types, which are positive sides and negative sides of mother in her personality. Positive sides of mother that represented by Mariam are (1) maternal solicitude and sympathy; (2) cherishes and sustains; (3) helpful instinct; (4) foster growth and fertility; (5) the magic authority of the female, and (6) wisdom and spiritual exaltation. Meanwhile, negative sides of mother that represented by Mariam are (1) seduces aspect, (2) secret and hidden; (3) dark sides; and (4) the world of the death. In expressing both positive and negative sides, Mariam showed that she could reach the individuation by being responsible to murder incident.
