Abstract
Permasalahan terjadi di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 25 Malang dalam menulis teks diskusi. Siswa kesulitan dari segi menentukan dan menuangkan ide dalam bentuk tulisan, mengembangkan topik ke dalam sebuah paragraf, menulis teks diskusi dengan memperhatikan segi struktur teks diskusi. Selain itu, permasalahan juga terjadi selama kegiatan belajar mengajar guru tidak menggunakan media untuk menarik perhatian siswa. Sehingga siswa merasa bosan dalam pembelajaran menulis teks diskusi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan menulis teks diskusi melalui model Take And Give pada Siswa Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 25 Malang. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian tindakan kelas dengan menggunakan jenis pendekatan kuantitatif dan didukung data tambahan berupa lembar observasi dan angket tertutup. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan dua siklus yang terdiri dari tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu observasi, tes menulis teks diskusi, dokumentasi berupa foto, dan wawancara dengan guru mitra. Instrumen penilaian berupa pedoman observasi guru dan siswa. Penilain hasil dari menulis teks diskusi di nilai berdasarkan rubrik penilaian yang sudah dibuat peneliti. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan menulis teks diskusi siswa dengan menggunakan model take and give meningkat dari hasil sebelumnya. Peningkatan keterampilan menulis teks diskusi melalui model take and give ini diperoleh dari hasil keterampilan menulis diskusi siswa sebelum diterapkannya model take and give yang hanya memperoleh persentase ketuntasan 24,3% dengan kriteria sangat kurang, meningkat pada siklus I menjadi 32,43% dengan kriteria kurang baik, dan terus meningkat pada siklus II sebesar 100% dengan kriteria sangat baik. Kesimpulan penelitian ini yaitu penerapan model Take Ang Give dapat meningkatkan aktivitas guru dan siswa, serta meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks diskusi siswa. Disarankan guru menerapkan model Take And Give pada pembelajaran menulis teks diskusi agar siswa lebih menguasai keterampilan menulis teks diskusi dan tujuan pembelajaran dapat tercapai sesuai yang diharapkan.
English Abstract
Problems occur in class VIII SMP Negeri 25 Malang in writing the text of the discussion. Students difficulties in terms of determining and ideas in writing, develop the topic into a paragraph, arrange discussions with those aspects of the structure of the discussion. In addition, the problem also occurs during learning activities teachers do not use the media to draw the attention of students. So that students feel bored in learning to write text discussion. The purpose of this study was to determine the ability of constructing the text enhancement discussions with models Take And Give in Class VIII SMP Negeri 25 Malang. This research is a classroom action research using quantitative approach and supported the type of additional data in the form of observation sheets and questionnaires closed. This research was conducted in two cycles consisting of the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques are observation, tests compose text discussion, documentation in the form of photographs and interviews with teachers partner. Assessment instruments such as observation guide teachers and students. Reviewing the results of the discussion in the text compiled value based on an assessment rubric that has made researchers. These results indicate that the ability to compose text using a model student discussions take and give increased from the previous results. Increased ability to compose text of the discussion through the model of give and take is obtained from the students ability to prepare discussions prior to the implementation of the model take and give only gained 24.3% the percentage of completeness criteria very less, increased in the first cycle to 32.43% with less criteria well, and continues to increase in the second cycle of 100% with the criteria very well. The conclusion of this study is the application of Ang Give Take the model can increase the activity of teachers and students, as well as improve the ability of students preparing discussion. Suggested teachers use Take And Give models compose the text discussion on learning that students are better mastered the ability to compose text discussion and learning objectives can be achieved as expected.
