Abstract
Di Antartika adalah salah satu benua di Bumi, berbagai macam makhluk di sana, penguin adalah salah satu makhluk hidup yang ada di Antartika, yang tinggal di Antartika sangat bergantung pada ekosistem alami. Mereka hidup di alam liar dan sangat bergantung pada dasarnya, sehingga keberadaan kerusakan alam akan sangat berpengaruh dengan kelangsungan hidup mereka. Selain itu, keberadaan manusia yang mencari sumber makanan dan hanya berkaitan dengan manfaat umat manusia dengan terlibat dalam eksploitasi alam tanpa menyadari bahwa mereka telah merusak ekosistem alami yang ada di sekitar mereka adalah masalah yang ada sebelum itu bumi. Ini menginspirasi seorang moviemaker untuk menggambarkannya sebagai kritik terhadap masalah lingkungan yang terjadi. Salah satu film yang menggambarkan eksploitasi lingkungan berjudul Happy Feet (2006) oleh George Miller. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori ekokritik oleh Garrard dan Ecocritisme sebagai kritik sastra oleh Tošić untuk menemukan eksploitasi oleh manusia dan dampaknya pada lingkungan dalam film. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah dari adegan yang telah ditangkap bersama dengan dialog. Hasil penelitian ini menggambarkan bahwa eksploitasi yang dilakukan manusia membawa banyak dampak negatif terhadap makhluk hidup dan lingkungan. Manusia mengeksploitasi alam dalam jumlah besar dan mengabaikan alam sekitarnya yang sebenarnya yang mereka lakukan akan mengurangi populasi makhluk hidup di bumi dan menghancurkan ekosistem alami. Tidak hanya itu, manusia juga mencemari dengan limbah dan minyak. Mereka juga mengambil ikan tanpa memperhatikan ekosistem alami sehingga menyebabkan kerusakan pada rantai makanan dan akan mengurangi populasi yang tinggal di Antartika bahkan di dunia.
English Abstract
In Antarctica is one of the continents on Earth, a wide range of living things there, the penguin is one of the living creatures that are in Antarctica, living in Antarctica depends heavily with natural ecosystems. They live in the wild and rely heavily by nature, so that the existence of damage to nature will be very influential with their survival. In addition, the existence of human beings who are looking for resources of food and only concerned with the benefit of mankind by engaging in exploitation of nature without realizing that they have damaged natural ecosystems that exist around them is a problem that exists in advance of this earth. It inspires a moviemaker to describe it as a criticism of the environmental problems that occur. One of the movies that describes environmental exploitation is entitled Happy Feet (2006) by George Miller. This research uses the theory of ecocriticism by Garrard and Ecocriticism as Literary Criticism by Tošić to find the exploitation by humans and the impact there of on the environment in the film. The data in this research is from the scenes that have been captured along with the dialogues. The results of this study illustrate that exploitation conducted human brings a lot of negative impact against living beings and the environment. Human beings exploit the nature in bulk and ignore the surrounding nature that is actually what they do will reduce the population of living beings on Earth and destroy natural ecosystems. Not only that, humans also pollute with waste and oil. They also take fish without regard to natural ecosystems so as to cause damage to the food chain and will reduce the population living in Antarctica even in the world.
