Abstract
Penelitian ini tentang isyarat tata bahasa yang ditemukan dalam ujian cloze pada kelas 12 jurusan ilmu sosial III siswa SMA 1 Manyar Gresik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengungkapkan jenis kesalahan tata bahasa dalam uji cloze siswa. Ada dua masalah dalam penelitian yang perlu dijawab yaitu: (1) Jenis kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh siswa kelas 12 jurusan Ilmu Sosial III SMA Negeri 1 Manyar Gresik Cloze Test? dan (2) jenis kesalahan yang paling sering muncul pada siswa kelas 12 jurusan ilmu sosial III SMA Negeri 1 Manyar Gresik Cloze Test? sebagai objek spesifik. Dalam melakukan penelitian, penulis menggunakan metode analisis konten kualitatif, karena data dalam bentuk kata, frasa dan kalimat dalam uji cloze siswa. Beberapa kesalahan yang ditemukan dalam teks dipilih untuk dianalisis, diatur dalam tabel dan dibahas. Penulis mengkategorikan kesalahan berdasarkan taksonomi kategori linguistik. Ini mengungkapkan 8 jenis kesalahan dari tes cloze yang membagi menjadi kesalahan kata kerja, kata benda, artikel, kata ganti, preposisi, kata kerja aux, kata keterangan, dan kata sifat. Ada dua kesalahan utama yang dibuat oleh siswa dan kesalahan yang tersisa dibagi dalam penyebaran secara merata: kesalahan kata kerja ditemukan sebagai bentuk kata kerja miss baik menjadi, orang ketiga tunggal, pasif, atau bentuk kalimat, Kesalahan kata benda ditemukan sebagai kehilangan pilihan atau identifikasi kata benda dalam sebuah kalimat. Ini terkait erat dengan kurangnya struktur tata bahasa karena ada kesenjangan besar antara tata bahasa bahasa pertama dan bahasa kedua siswa. Itu terjadi karena mereka sering mengabaikan aturan tata bahasa dalam memperoleh bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa kedua. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, pelajar bahasa Inggris terutama siswa diharapkan dapat menggunakan keterampilan bahasa mereka dengan baik dan meningkatkannya bahwa mereka dapat membangun struktur bahasa Inggris yang benar.
English Abstract
This study is about grammatical cues found in the cloze test by grade 12 of Majoring Social Science III students of Senior High School 1 Manyar Gresik. The aim of the study is to reveal the kinds of grammatical error in the cloze test of the students. There are two problems in the study which need to be answered namely: (1) types of errors made by grade 12 students of Majoring Social Science III of SMA Negeri 1 Manyar Gresik cloze test? and (2) the most frequent types of errors emerge on grade 12 students of Majoring Social Science III of SMA Negeri 1 Manyar Gresik cloze test? as the specific objects. In conducting the study, the writer uses qualitative content analysis method, since the data are in the form of words, phrases and sentences in the cloze test of the student. Some errors that found in the texts are chosen to be analyzed, organized in table and discussed. The writer categorized the error based on linguistic category taxonomy. It reveals 8 types of errors from the cloze test which it divides into error of verb, noun, article, pronoun, preposition, aux verb, adverb, and adjective. There are two major errors which is made by the students and the remaining errors is divided in spread evenly: The error of verb is found as a miss participle of verb form either on to be, third person singular, passive or tense of a sentence, the error of noun is found as a miss either selection or identification of noun in a sentence. It was closely related to lack of grammar structure since there is a huge gap between grammar of first language and second language of the student. It is occurred since they often ignore grammar rule in acquiring English as the second language. Based on the result of the study, the learner of English especially students are expected be able to use their language skill well and improve it that they could construct correct English structure.
