Abstract
Proses perolehan bahasa dimulai dari periode anak-anak. Peneliti memilih kategori semantik ini yang diusulkan oleh Nelson (1973) karena ini adalah subjek yang sangat menarik dan sangat penting untuk memahami lebih banyak tentang apa yang disampaikan anak-anak dalam percakapan sehari-hari mereka. Kategori semantik umum adalah mengklasifikasikan kata-kata ke dalam kategori sintaksis seperti kata benda, kata kerja, kata sifat, dll. (Ingram, 1989, hal.143) Anak yang diamati adalah peneliti anak tujuh belas bulan, Deeriy Al Mahzuz. Itu dilakukan untuk menjawab masalah penelitian, ada: apa kategori semantik umum yang diproduksi oleh anak tujuh belas bulan? Dan apa faktor yang mungkin i dari I Uenci Ng Kategori semantik umum yang diproduksi oleh anak tujuh belas bulan? . Dalam menulis tesis sarjana ini, peneliti menerapkan penelitian lapangan dan penelitian perpustakaan yang dilakukan dengan mengadaptasi beberapa teori dan informasi tentang akuisisi bahasa dari buku, tesis, internet dan sumber lain dan juga dari pengamatan objek analisis. Data yang disediakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dalam bentuk video yang direkam, ucapan transkrip dan tanggapan yang diambil dari pengembangan dan niat akuisisi bahasa dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada 96 kata secara total yang dihasilkan oleh subjek untuk 29:15 detik atau total waktu pada video yang direkam dan dikategorikan sebagai kategori semantik umum. Persentase kata-kata adalah 10 kata (10,41%) dikategorikan sebagai nominal spesifik, 38 kata (39,58%) dikategorikan sebagai nominal umum, 18 kata (18,75%) dikategorikan sebagai kata-kata tindakan, 15 kata (15,62%) dikategorikan sebagai pengubah, dan 15 kata (15,62%) dikategorikan sebagai sosial pribadi. Peneliti menunjukkan bahwa semua orang tua perlu memperhatikan kategori semantik umum ini dengan hati-hati. Sehingga orang tua dapat mengetahui seberapa jauh perkembangan bahasa anak-anak mereka. Peneliti juga menyarankan untuk para peneliti berikutnya yang ingin melakukan penelitian lebih lanjut tentang topik ini menggunakan teori lain atau kategori spesifik untuk pengembangan bahasa untuk membuat studi ini lebih lengkap.
English Abstract
The acquisition process of a language begins from children period. The researcher chose this semantic categories proposed by Nelson (1973) because it is a very interesting subject and very important in order to understand more about what the children convey in their daily conversation. General semantic categories is classifying words into syntactic categories such as noun, verb, adjective, etc. (Ingram, 1989, p.143) The child being observed is the researcher seventeen-month child, Deeriy Al mahzuz. It is done to answer the problems of the research, there are: What are the general semantic categories produced by the seventeen-month child? And What are the possible factors i of I uenci ng the general semantic categories produced by the seventeen-month child? . In writing this undergraduate thesis, the researcher applied field research and library research that was conducted by adapting some theories and information about language acquisition from books, thesis, internet and other sources and also from the observation of the object of the analysis. The data provided in this study were in the form of recorded video, transcribed utterances and responses taken from the development and the intention of language acquisition in the daily life. The result of this research shows that there were 96 words in total that produced by the subject for 29:15 seconds or total of the time on video recorded and categorized as the general semantic categories. The percentages of the words are 10 words (10,41%) categorized as the Specific Nominals, 38 words (39,58%) categorized as the General Nominals, 18 words (18,75%) categorized as the Action Words, 15 words (15,62%) categorized as the Modifiers, and 15 words (15,62%) categorized as the Personal Social. The researcher suggests that all parents need to pay attention to this general semantic categories carefully. So that parents can know how far the development of their children language. The researcher also suggests for the next researchers who want to do further research of this topic using other theories or specific categories for language development to make this study more complete.
