Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan prestasi pelajar Arab dalam menulis teks prosedur. Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan siswa tahun kedua MA RAUDLATUL Ulum Putri Malang sebagai subjek. Untuk mendapatkan data, peneliti menggunakan enam instrumen. (1) Wawancara, (2) Tes Penulisan, (3) Daftar Periksa Partisipasi Siswa, (4) Daftar Periksa Pengamatan Pengajaran, (5) Catatan Lapangan, dan (6) kuesioner. Kriteria keberhasilan dalam penelitian ini dibagi menjadi dua kategori. Pertama, dari proses. Setidaknya 75% siswa terlibat aktif selama tindakan. Kedua, dari produk. Setidaknya 75% siswa mendapatkan skor minimum yaitu 70 dan setiap siswa memperoleh peningkatan skor pra-tes mereka setidaknya 5% penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan strategi analisis kontras dapat membantu siswa dalam menulis teks prosedur, dalam hal Motivasi siswa untuk menulis dan meningkatkan kemampuan mereka dalam menulis teks prosedur. Itu ditunjukkan oleh hasil tes penulisan yang diukur dengan menggunakan rubrik penilaian. Ada 90% siswa yang mendapatkan skor lebih dari 75. Ini berarti bahwa proses pembelajaran terjadi selama implementasi strategi analisis kontras. Itu juga diungkapkan oleh daftar periksa partisipasi siswa selama implementasi yang menunjukkan ada lebih dari 85%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, peneliti menyarankan guru sekolah formal di sekolah asrama Islam untuk menggunakan strategi analisis kontras, terutama dalam mengajar menulis karena sangat cocok dengan kebutuhan siswa. Peneliti juga menyarankan peneliti lebih lanjut untuk melakukan penelitian lebih lanjut terhadap tingkat siswa yang berbeda, berbagai bahasa, genre teks yang berbeda.

English Abstract

This research aims to improve the Arabic’s learner achievement in writing procedure text. The research design that was used in this research is Classroom Action Research with the second year students of MA Raudlatul Ulum Putri Malang as the subject. In order to gain the data, the researcher used six instruments; (1) interview, (2) writing test, (3) students’ participation checklist, (4) teaching observation checklist, (5) field notes, and (6) questionnaire. The criteria of success in this research are divided into two categories. First, from the process; at least 75% of the students were actively involved during the action. Second, from the product; At least 75% of the students were getting minimum score which is 70 and each student gained improvement of their pre-test score at least 5% This research showed that the used of contrastive analysis strategy could help students in writing procedure text, in term of motivating students to write and improve their ability in writing procedure text. It was shown by the result of writing test which was measured by using scoring rubric. There were 90% students who gained score more than 75. This means that the learning process happened during the implementation of contrastive analysis strategy. It was also revealed by the students’ participation checklist during the implementation that showed there were more than 85%. Based on the result of the research, researcher suggested the teacher of formal school in Islamic Boarding School to use contrastive analysis strategy, especially in teaching writing because it is suitable with the students’ need. The researcher also suggested the further researcher to conduct the further research towards different level of students, different languages, different genre of text.
