Abstract
Penelitian ini menceritakan tentang karakteristik interaksi kelas siswa dengan ID. Itu dilakukan pada pendidikan inklusif karena kinerja akademik siswa ID mungkin lebih baik daripada mereka yang berpendidikan di sekolah khusus. Ada dua pertanyaan penelitian dalam penelitian ini, yaitu: (1) Apa karakteristik interaksi kelas yang muncul dalam subjek bahasa Inggris tentang pendidikan inklusif di SMKN 2 Malang. (2) Apa metode guru untuk mengajar siswa dengan ID dalam subjek bahasa Inggris tentang pendidikan inklusif di SMKN 2 Malang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan wawancara informal. Dalam pengamatan, peneliti mencatat aktivitas belajar mengajar melalui video kamera dan ponsel. Pengamatan dilakukan satu kali hanya karena guru selalu menggunakan metode yang sama, yang mempengaruhi hasil yang sama dalam matriks yang dianalisis menggunakan sistem kategori Analisis Interaksi Flandria (FIACS). Ini adalah sistem yang menangkap komunikasi verbal antara guru dan siswa di kelas. Setelah mencatat pengamatan, peneliti menuliskan interaksi dalam tabel, mengkodekan interaksi berdasarkan FIAC, dan mengkodekan data dalam tabel matriks interaksi 10x10. Selain itu, wawancara informal dilakukan untuk mengetahui latar belakang guru. Penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa karakteristik interaksi kelas yang muncul adalah palang konten. Guru itu jelas tergantung pada pertanyaan. Dia menggunakan metode penerjemahan tata bahasa untuk mengajar siswa dengan ID. Dia harus mempertimbangkan untuk menggunakan metode langsung dan / atau pembelajaran kooperatif karena mungkin lebih cocok untuk siswa. Guru perlu mendapatkan pengetahuan dan wawasan lebih lanjut tentang cara mengajar bahasa Inggris kepada siswa dengan ID. Sekolah juga perlu merekrut seorang guru bahasa Inggris profesional untuk mengajar bahasa Inggris.
English Abstract
This research tells about classroom interaction characteristic of students with ID. It was conducted on inclusive education because ID students’ academic performance might be better than those who were educated in a special school. There are two research questions in this study, namely: (1) what are classroom interaction characteristic that appear in English subject on inclusive education at SMKN 2 Malang; (2) what are teacher’s method to teach students with ID in English subject on inclusive education at SMKN 2 Malang. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The data were collected through observation and an informal interview. In observation, the researcher recorded the teaching and learning activity through camera video and cell phone. The observation was conducted one time only because the teacher always uses the same method, which affects the same result in the matrix analyzed using Flanders Interaction Analysis Category System (FIACS). It is a system that captures verbal communication between teachers and students in the classroom. After recorded the observation, the researcher wrote down the interaction in a table, encoded the interaction based on FIACS, and coded the data in 10x10 interaction matrix table. In addition, the informal interview was conducted to find out teacher’s background. This study reveals that classroom interaction characteristic that appears is content cross. The teacher was obviously dependent on questions. He used grammar translation method to teach students with ID. He should consider using direct method and/or cooperative learning because it might be more suitable for the students. The teacher needs to get knowledge and insight more about how to teach English to students with ID. The school also needs to recruit a professional English teacher to teach English.
