Abstract
Kolonisasi telah memainkan peran penting dalam cara fungsi masyarakat. Itu digunakan untuk membangun wewenang atas daerah-daerah yang dianggap kurang berkembang. Orang kulit putih terkenal telah diketahui telah menjajah hitam. Ini telah mengakibatkan membuat orang kulit hitam lebih rendah dan menolak mereka untuk perawatan yang tidak adil. Penulis Inggris Afro-Carribean, Malorie Blackman, menulis Noughts dan Crosses berdasarkan konsep ras yang signifikan dalam kolonisasi. Dia mengubah gagasan ras dan menciptakan dunia dystopian di mana orang kulit hitam lebih unggul daripada kulit putih. Dia juga membuat orang kulit putih menjadi objek perbudakan, rasisme, stereotip dan diskriminasi. Pendekatan yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini adalah postkolonialisme sebagai Noughts dan Cross menggambarkan masyarakat yang berurusan dengan akibat kolonisasi. Fokus utama penelitian ini adalah rasisme seperti yang diciptakan karena gagasan ras. Untuk melakukan analisis dan interpretasi, teori rasisme digunakan bersama dengan teori-teori lain seperti ras, stereotip, prasangka, diskriminasi dan dunia distopia. Penelitian ini mengungkap perubahan konsep ras di mana orang kulit hitam lebih unggul daripada kulit putih. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rasisme, stereotip, prasangka dan diskriminasi bahwa orang kulit putih keberatan ketika Blackman Malorie telah menciptakan sebuah cerita dari perspektif lain tentang penindasan orang kulit hitam dengan membuat orang kulit putih berada dalam posisi mereka dalam posisi mereka. Hasilnya juga menunjukkan bagaimana penulis menggunakan konsep dunia dystopian untuk mengubah situasi kehidupan nyata di masyarakat.
English Abstract
Colonization has played a significant role in the way society functions. It was used to establish authority over areas that were considered as less developed. The Whites are notably known to have colonized the Blacks. This had resulted in making the Blacks more inferior and objecting them to unfair treatments. The Afro-Carribean British writer, Malorie Blackman, wrote Noughts and Crosses based on the concept of race which is significant in colonization. She altered the idea of race and created a dystopian world where the Blacks are more superior than the Whites. She also made the Whites to become the object of slavery, racism, stereotypes and discrimination. The approach that is applied in this study is Postcolonialism as Noughts and Crosses portrays a society dealing with the aftermath of colonization. The main focus of this study is racism as it is created due to the idea of race. To conduct the analysis and interpretation, the theory of racism is used along with other theories such as race, stereotype, prejudice, discrimination and dystopian world. This study uncovers the alteration on the concept of race whereby the Blacks are more superior than the Whites. The result of the study shows the racism, stereotype, prejudice and discrimination that the Whites are objected to as Malorie Blackman has created a story from another perspective on the oppression of the Blacks by making the Whites to be in their position. The result also shows how the author uses the concept of a dystopian world to alter real life situations in society.
