Abstract
Penggunaan bahasa telah berubah dari waktu ke waktu termasuk fungsinya. Apakah itu dalam bentuk tertulis atau lisan, bahasa terus berkembang dan berubah. Untuk memeriksa perubahan seperti itu dapat dilihat dari ruang lingkup analisis wacana khusus perangkat kohesif. Penelitian ini menganalisis perangkat kohesif yang ditemukan dalam komik editorial berjudul `PR Buat Presiden` yang masih memiliki hubungan dengan peristiwa pemilihan umum pada tahun 2014. Dalam penelitian ini, ada dua masalah studi: (1) Apa yang ditemukan oleh perangkat kohesif gramatika Komik editorial berjudul `PR Buat Presiden`. dan (2) apa perangkat kohesif leksikal yang ditemukan dalam komik editorial berjudul `PR Buat Presiden`. Setelah itu, tujuan penelitian adalah: (1) untuk mengetahui apa yang digunakan perangkat kohesif tata bahasa yang digunakan dalam komik editorial yang berjudul `PR Buat Presiden` dan (2) untuk mengetahui apa yang digunakan perangkat kohesif leksikal dalam komik editorial berjudul `PR. Buat Presiden `. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif karena objek penelitian ini adalah beberapa dialog dari komik editorial yang dalam bentuk tertulis. Data diambil dengan memilih beberapa dialog yang mengandung tata bahasa dan juga perangkat kohesif leksikal dan kemudian menganalisisnya menggunakan kedua teori tersebut. Ada 12 dialog yang ditemukan dalam buku ini menggunakan perangkat kohesif gramatikal dan 9 dialog menggunakan perangkat kohesif leksikal. Perangkat kohesif tata bahasa yang sebagian besar digunakan adalah referensi dalam 4 temuan dan substitusi juga dalam 4 temuan dan yang paling tidak digunakan adalah elipsis dalam 2 temuan dan konjungsi dalam juga 2 temuan. Sedangkan dari perangkat kohesif leksikal, pengulangan adalah yang paling banyak digunakan dalam 5 temuan dan sisanya dengan yang paling tidak digunakan adalah hiponymy, sinonim, dan antonimi hanya dalam 1 data. Berdasarkan analisis, penting menggunakan perangkat kohesif untuk mengetahui hubungan makna di antara teks-teks terutama dalam komik editorial `PR Buat Presiden`. Untuk para peneliti berikutnya yang melakukan topik serupa yang merupakan perangkat kohesif, disarankan untuk mengembangkan teori. Setelah itu, penulis berikutnya berharap dapat menganalisis perangkat kohesif dalam topik spesifik lainnya seperti iklan, surat kabar, artikel, atau topik lain yang terkait dengan teks.
English Abstract
The use of language has changed from time to time including its function. Whether it is in written or spoken form, language keeps developing and changing. To examine such changes it can be seen from the scope of Discourse analysis specifically cohesive devices. This study analyzes cohesive devices found in an editorial comic entitled “PR Buat Presiden” which still has relation with the event of General Election in 2014. In this study, there are two problems of study: (1) What Grammatical cohesive devices are found in an editorial comic entitled “PR Buat Presiden” ; and (2) What Lexical cohesive devices are found in an editorial comic entitled “PR Buat Presiden”. Afterwards, the objective of study are: (1) To find out what Grammatical cohesive devices are used in an editorial comic entitled “PR Buat Presiden” and (2) To find out what Lexical cohesive devices are used in an editorial comic entitled “PR Buat Presiden”. This study used descriptive qualitative method since the object of the study is some dialogues from the editorial comic which is in written form. The data were taken by selecting some dialogues which is containing Grammatical and also Lexical cohesive devices and then analyze it used those two theories. There are 12 dialogues found in the book are using Grammatical cohesive devices and 9 dialogues using Lexical cohesive devices. The mostly used Grammatical cohesive devices is reference within 4 findings and substitution also within 4 findings and the least used one is ellipsis within 2 findings and conjunction within also 2 findings. While from the Lexical cohesive devices, repetition is the most used within 5 findings and the rest with the least used are hyponymy, synonymy, and antonymy within only 1 data each of them. Based on the analysis, it is important used cohesive devices to find out the meaning relation among texts especially in the editorial comic “PR Buat Presiden”. To the next researchers who are conducting similar topic which is cohesive devices, is suggested to develop the theories. Afterwards, next writer expects to be able analyze cohesive devices in other specific topics such as advertisement, newspaper, articles, or some other topics which related with text.
