Abstract
Sastra adalah ekspresi manusia. Hasil ekspresi manusia yang diproduksi oleh pikiran dapat disebut pekerjaan sastra. Pekerjaan sastra memiliki banyak bentuk. Ini bisa berupa puisi, prosa, atau drama. Karya sastra mencerminkan masalah sosial, fenomena atau mengkritik pemerintah atau pengalaman hidup. Di era modern ini, media untuk menyebarkan karya sastra tidak hanya dalam bentuk teks tertulis tetapi juga dalam bentuk media yang dapat dilihat, misalnya film. Film itu sendiri milik karya sastra. Dalam penelitian ini, film digunakan sebagai objek material adalah pahlawan besar 6. Penelitian ini berfokus pada analisis karakter utama dalam menyelesaikan konfliknya dalam film animasi pahlawan besar 6. Karena itu, penulis merumuskan masalah penelitian ini: Bagaimana karakterisasi karakter utama dan konfliknya digambarkan? Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan psikologis untuk menganalisis dan menafsirkan data. Dalam pendekatan psikologis akan sangat menganalisis kesedihan karakter utama melalui konfliknya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif untuk menggambarkan peristiwa dengan jelas dan sistematis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan Hiro sebagai karakter utama menghadapi konfliknya dalam kondisi berduka karena kehilangan yang dicintai, Tadashi sebagai saudaranya. Ada lima tahap selama kesedihannya, seperti penolakan, kemarahan, tawar, depresi, dan penerimaan. Denial, Hiro menyangkal kehilangan saudaranya. Kemudian, dia menyadari bahwa ada sesuatu yang salah dengan saudaranya mati dan dia tahu yang sebenarnya. Karena itu Hiro merasa marah pada pria topeng yang bertanggung jawab atas kematian saudaranya. Hiro juga merasa tertekan. Dalam hal ini Hiro tawar-menawar tentang kondisi dan akhirnya ia dapat menerima kondisinya. Hiro berhasil meneruskan konfliknya. Untuk peneliti berikutnya, disarankan bagi siswa jurusan literatur untuk menganalisis karakter objek material yang sama dengan pendekatan lain. Ini dapat dianalisis dari sudut pandang pahlawan. Selain itu, penelitian ini dapat digunakan sebagai referensi penelitian selanjutnya dengan objek lain.
English Abstract
Literature is the human expression. The result of the human expression which is produced by mind can be called literary work. Literary works has many forms. It can be form of poetry, prose, or drama. Literary works reflect the social issues, phenomena or criticizes the government or life experiences. In this modern era, the media to spread literary works is not only in form of written text but also in form of media that can be seen, for example movie. Movie itself belongs to literary works. In this study, movie is used as the material object is Big Hero 6. This study focuses on the analysis of main character in resolving his conflict in Big Hero 6 animation movie. Therefore, the author formulates the problem of this study: How does the characterization of main character and his conflict depicted? This study uses a psychological approach to analyze and interpret data. In psychological approach will deeply analyze the grief of the main character through his conflict. This study uses a qualitative approach to describe the events clearly and systematically. The result of this study shows Hiro as the main character faces his conflict in grieving condition because of loss the loved one, Tadashi as his brother. There are five stages during his grief, such as denial, anger, bargain, depression, and acceptance. In denial, Hiro deny the loss of his brother. Then, he realizes that there is something wrong with his brother death and he knows the truth. Because of that Hiro feels angry to mask man who is responsible to his brother’s death. Hiro also feels depressed. In this case Hiro bargain about the condition and finally he can accept the condition. Hiro passes his conflict successfully. For the next researcher, it is recommended for students majoring on literature to analyze the character of the same material object with another approach. It can be analyzed from hero point of view. Besides, this study can be used as the references of the next research with another object.
