Abstract
Analisis Wacana Kritis (CDA) Sebagai jenis penelitian analitik wacana, mencoba untuk mengungkapkan cara kekuatan sosial, dominasi, dan ketidaksetaraan direproduksi oleh teks dan berbicara dalam konteks sosial dan politik. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini meneliti ideologi pembahas dunia Jakarta dalam merespons terhadap hilangnya Prabowo dalam pemilihan presiden melalui penggunaan Prosodi semantik. Prosodi semantik dari data terungkap terlebih dahulu untuk mengetahui aura makna yang konsisten dalam kata kunci tertentu yang mengarah pada ideologi pembahas di Forum Diskusi Globe Jakarta. Dengan mempertimbangkan teori Semantic Prosody (1993) dan van Dijk (1997) kerangka idealistik ideologi, penelitian ini menjawab dua masalah penelitian: (1) Prosodi semantik apa yang ditemukan pada forum diskusi Jakarta Globe. (2) Ideologi apa yang ditujukan di Forum Diskusi Globe Jakarta melalui penggunaan prosodi semantik. Dengan bantuan Studi Corpus dan menggunakan Prosodi Semantik Louw (1993), penelitian ini secara kualitatif menganalisis 138 komentar dari 42 artikel yang berurusan dengan objek ideologi tunggal, yaitu hilangnya Prabowo dalam pemilihan presiden. Untuk memaksimalkan peran metode Corpus, 5 kata kunci dipilih karena mereka sering muncul dalam artikel kerugian Prabowo. Kata-kata kunci ini adalah: politik (dan lemmasnya), kekuatan, kampanye, asing, dan manusia. Penulis berurutan Collocate terletak di sebelah kiri dan kanan setiap kata kunci untuk menemukan prosodinya semantik. Ditemukan bahwa prosodi semantik negatif sering muncul dengan menutupi lebih dari 61% data. Sisa temuan, atau 39% tidak mengarah pada profil prosodi semantik atau netral, sementara prosodi semantik positif tidak ditemukan dalam data. Prabowo diasumsikan menjadi obsesif terhadap kemenangan dan belum matang dalam menghadapi kerugian. Sejarah politik Prabowo juga muncul sebagai pendukung membuktikan para pembahas. Singkatnya, penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa ada gagasan bahwa para pembahas cenderung secara negatif mewakili dan mengevaluasi pecundang, untuk peneliti lebih lanjut, ada baiknya mencoba melakukan studi tentang Prosodi semantik memanfaatkan teori Partington untuk mencari cara di luar batas. Selain itu, penggunaan metode berbasis corpus masih dianggap potensi untuk studi prosodi dan cda semantik lainnya.
English Abstract
Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) as a type of discourse analytical research, tries to reveal the way social power, dominance, and inequality are reproduced by text and talk in the social and political context. Accordingly, this study examines the ideology of the discussant of The Jakarta Globe in responding towards the loss of Prabowo in presidential election through the use of semantic prosody. Semantic prosodies of the data are revealed first to figure out the consistent aura of meaning in certain keywords that leads to the ideology of the discussants in The Jakarta Globe discussion forum. By considering Louw’s theory of semantic prosody (1993) and van Dijk’s (1997) analytical framework of ideology, this study answered two research problems: (1) What semantic prosodies are found on the discussion forum of The Jakarta Globe; (2) What ideology is addressed in The Jakarta Globe discussion forum through the use of semantic prosodies. With the aid of corpus study and using Louw’s (1993) semantic prosody, this study qualitatively analyzes 138 comments from 42 articles dealing with a single ideology object, that is the loss of Prabowo in presidential election. In order to maximize the role of corpus method, 5 key words are selected as they frequently come up in the articles of Prabowo’s loss. These key words are: politic (and its lemmas), power, campaign, foreign, and man. The writer sequenced collocates located on the left and right of each key word to find its semantic prosody. It was found that negative semantic prosodies were frequently appeared by covering over 61% of the data. The rest of the findings, or 39% did not lead to any semantic prosody profiles or neutral, while positive semantic prosodies were not found in the data. Prabowo was assumed to be obsessive of the winning and immature in facing the loss. The political history of Prabowo was also appeared as the supporting prove of the discussants. In sum, this study proved that there was existed idea that the discussants tend to negatively represent and evaluate the loser, For further researchers, it is worth trying to conduct studies on semantic prosody utilizing Partington theory to figure out meanings beyond single word boundaries. In addition, the use of corpus-based method is still considered potential for such and other semantic prosody and CDA studies.
