Hopiyanto (2015) Different Vocabularies Between Jugrug And Kranang Madurese Dialects: A Sociolinguistic Study. Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.
Abstract
Indonesia terdiri dari banyak daerah, dengan bahasa lisan yang berbeda yang disebabkan oleh historis. Setiap daerah memiliki bahasa lisan yang berbeda yang disebut dialek. Oleh karena itu, ada beberapa perbedaan dan faktor yang mempengaruhi perbedaan dialek. Penulis telah melakukan penelitian yang berfokus pada (1) perbedaan dialek yang digunakan Madura di Jugrug Kranang (2) Faktor-faktor historis yang mempengaruhi varietas dialek Jugrug dan Kranang. Desain penelitian penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif. Studi kasus yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis perbedaan dialek Jugrug dan Kranang dan faktor historis yang membuat kedua desa berbeda dalam kosa kata. Data diambil dari kosakata bahasa Madura dan faktor historis. Sumber data adalah lima belas responden di setiap wilayah dari Jugrug dan Kranang. Selain itu, penulis mendapatkan data dari observasi, wawancara, dan kuesioner. Penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa dialek Jugrug dan Kranang berbeda dalam kosakata. Ada perbedaan dalam kosakata keduanya. Perbedaannya dalam kata sifat, kata benda dan kata kerja yang disebabkan oleh faktor historis. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah perbedaan dialek Jugrug dan Kranang disebabkan oleh faktor historis. Penulis menyarankan program studi bahasa Inggris untuk memberikan lebih banyak referensi yang berhubungan dengan penelitian sehingga dapat memperkaya tinjauan literatur yang dapat mendukung analisis topik tersebut. Dia juga menyarankan peneliti berikutnya untuk melakukan penelitian tentang dua dialek lain Madura di daerah lain, misalnya dialek Bondowoso dan Situbondo yang terkait dengan dialek di Jawa Timur.
English Abstract
Indonesia consists of a lot of regions, with different spoken languages which are caused by historical. Each region has different spoken language called dialect. Therefore, there are some differences and factors that influence dialect differences. The writer has conducted a study focusing on (1) Dialect differences of Madurese spoken in Jugrug Kranang (2) The historical factors influencing the varieties of Jugrug and Kranang dialect. The research design of the study is qualitative approach. Case study applied in the study is to analyze the differences of Jugrug and Kranang dialects and historical factor which make both of village different in vocabulary. The data are taken from vocabulary of Madurese language and historical factor. The source of the data are fifteen respondents in each region from Jugrug and Kranang. Moreover, the writer gets the data from observation, interview, and questionnaire. This study reveals that Jugrug and Kranang dialects are different in vocabularies. There are differences in the vocabulary of both. The differences are in adjective, noun and verb caused by historical factors. The conclusion of the study is differences of Jugrug and Kranang dialects are caused by historical factors. The writer suggests English Study Program to provide more references dealing with the study so that it could enrich literature review which can support the analysis of the topic. He also suggests the next researcher to conduct research on the other two dialects of madurese on another area, for example Bondowoso and Situbondo dialects which are related to the dialects in East Java.
