English Abstract

From the perspective of strategic Public Relations communication, this research conquered and compared the gastrodiplomacy strategy applied by Japan, South Korea, and Thailand. The analysis reveals that the communication strategies of public relationss officers in marketing products are (1) The use of building nation strategy; (2) The role of opinion leaders; (3) The event management, and; (4) The application of online platforms. This bachelor thesis employed qualitative research method by documenting several innovative campaign strategies related to Indonesian Gastrodiplomacy strategy. The gastrodiplomacy production process was interlinked with the role of public relationss activities, soft power, and food heritage that were strongly contributes to the formulation of Indonesian food as an identity image in the contemporary Indonesian tourism.
