Abstract
Telepon genggam merupakan salah satu alat komunikasi yang sangat penting untuk masyarakat dan telepon genggam tidak bisa dipisahkan dari kehidupan mereka. Sementara itu, ada beberapa macam telepon genggam dan mempengaruhi kehidupan penggunanya. Ada dua jenis telepon, genggam biasa dan telepon pintar. Telepon pintar seperti BlackBerry sangat sering digunakan oleh remaja dan aplikasi yang disebut BlackBerry Messenger yang membuat mereka tertarik. Di dalam BlackBerry Messenger, kita bisa menemukan pesan cepat yang didukung dengan teks otomatis. Dalam hal ini, peneliti menguji teori tindak tutur di pesan cepat dan teks otomatis. Studi in fokus untuk menjawab pertanyaan dari (1) Apa saja tipe dari tindak lokusi di pesan cepat, (2) Apa saja tipe dari tindak ilokusi di teks otomatis, dan (3) hubungan dari pesan cepat dan teks otomatis di BlackBerry Messenger bagi anggota-anggota dari grup BlackBerry Messenger program studi bahasa inggris 2007 universitas brawijaya. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Data dari studi ini diambil dari BlackBerry Messenger bagi anggota-anggota dari grup BlackBerry Messenger program studi bahasa inggris 2007 universitas brawijaya dan data terdiri dari 11 gambar dengan ujaran-ujaran dan teks otomatis . Tahap-tahap dari data analisis adalah (1) Menganalisa pesan cepat berdasarkan teori Austin untuk lokusi, (2) Menganalisa teks otomatis berdasarkan teori Austin untuk ilokusi, (3) Menganalisa hubungan antara pesan cepat dan teks otomatis berdasarkan teori Morris, dan (4) Menarik kesimpulan dari penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa anggota-anggota dari grup BlackBerry Messenger program studi bahasa inggris 2007 universitas brawijaya menggunakan dua jenis tindak tutur yakni lokusi dan ilokusi. Peneliti menemukan lokusi untuk memberikan informasi dan bertanya kepada seseorang. Sementara itu, tipe ilokusi yang sering digunakan di teks otomatis adalah expositives dan behabitives. Peneliti juga menemukan hubungan dari ujaran-ujaran dan teks otomatis berdarakan teori Morris. Peneliti menyarankan agar peneliti berikutnya yang tertarik memilih tindak tutur sebagai topik dapat mengambil objek dari BlackBerry Messenger. Peneliti berikutnya dapat meneliti perlokusi di BlackBerry Messenger dan dapat mengetahui bagaimana efek dari ujaran-ujaran tersebut pada anggota - anggota. Peneliti berikutnya dapat mencari objek yang berbeda di telepon pintar seperti Iphone atau Android.
English Abstract
A mobile phone is one of the most essential communication tools for people and it cannot be separated from their life. The types of mobile phone vary and they influence the activity of the users. There are two types of mobile phone, a cell phone and a smart phone. Smart phone such as BlackBerry is commonly used teenagers and BlackBerry Messenger is the application of BlackBerry is widely favoured make them interest. In the inside of BlackBerry Messenger we can find instant messages which are consist of utterances and also supported with AutoText. On this study, the researcher examined the types of the utterances contained in English Study program 2007 BlackBerry Messenger group University of Brawijaya. This study was focused to answer the questions of (1) what are the types of locutionary acts performed in utterances, (2) what are the types of illocutionary acts performed in AutoTexts, and (3) what is the relation of utterances and AutoText in BlackBerry Messenger for the members of English Study program 2007 BlackBerry Messenger group University of Brawijaya. This study uses qualitative research. The data of this study were taken from BlackBerry Messenger of the members of English Study program 2007 BlackBerry Messenger group University of Brawijaya and the data consist of 11 pictures contains of utterances and AutoTexts The steps of the data analysis are (1) Analyze the utterances based on Austin‟s theory for locutionary acts, (2) Analyze the AutoTexts based on Austin‟s theory for illocutionary acts, (3) Analyze the relation between utterances and AutoTexts based on Morris‟s theory, and (4) Draw the conclusion of the research. The result of data analysis shows that the members of English Study program 2007 BlackBerry Messenger group University of Brawijaya used two kinds of speech acts. They are locutionary acts and illocutionary acts. The researcher found locutionary act to tell the information and ask question to someone. Meanwhile, the mostly types of illocutionary acts found in AutoTexts is expositives and behabitives. The researcher also found the relation between utterances and AutoTexts based on Morris‟s theory. The researcher suggests for the next researchers who are interested to choose speech acts as their topic can taken the object from BlackBerry Messenger. The next researcher can investigate perlocutionary act in BlackBerry Messenger and can find how the effect of utterance that is uttered by members in the group. The next researchers can be find another object in another smart phone such as Iphone, or Android.
