Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi merespon krisis yang dilakukan terduga dan tersangka koruptor aparat pemerintah pada saat menghadapi krisis akibat tuduhan perilaku korupsi yang menyerangnya. Krisis merupakan kejadian tak terduga yang menciptakan ketidak pastian dan ancaman serta membahayakan citra, identitas, atau reputasi dari individu ataupun perusahaan. Setiap individu maupun lembaga dimungkinkan mendapatkan kritikan atas tindakan yang mereka lakukan. Oleh karena itulah, diperlukan strategi merespon krisis untuk membentuk persepsi publik mengenai krisis, citra yang dihasilkan, atau reputasi yang salah satunya adalah Apologia. Peneliti melakukan penelitian apologia pada quote news atau pernyataan koruptor dalam berita media online sebagai strategi untuk merespon krisis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis isi kuantitatif deskriptif dengan paradigma positivistik. Tujuannya agar peneliti dapat menggambarkan secara detail pesan pada teks yang terdapat dalam quote news. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar coding dan dokumentasi berita sebagai alat pengumpulan data. Media yang digunakan adalah kompas.com periode 2012-2017. Hasil temuan menunjukkan terduga dan tersangka koruptor aparat pemerintah yang terkena operasi tangkap tangan cenderung tidak menggunakan strategi denial dan terduga dan tersangka koruptor aparat pemerintah yang ditetapkan sebagai tersangka bukan melalui operasi tangkap tangan cenderung menggunakan strategi bolstering dalam menghadapi krisis atau tuduhan dan dugaan korupsi yang mengarah kepadanya.

English Abstract

This study aims to describe the strategy of responding to the crisis by corrupt government officials in the face of crisis due to allegations of corruption behavior that attacked him. Crisis is an unexpected event that creates uncertainty and threats and endangers the image, identity, or reputation of an individual or company. Every individual or institution may be criticized for their actions. Therefore, a crisis response strategy is needed to shape the public perception of the crisis, the resulting image, or the reputation that one of them is Apologia. Researcher conduct apologia research on quotes news in online media news as a strategy to respond to the crisis. This research uses descriptive quantitative content analysis method with positivistic paradigm. The goal is that researchers can describe in detail the message on the text contained in the quote news. Data collection methods in this study are coding sheet and news documentation. Researcher used kompas.com period 2012-2017 as a media. The findings indicate suspected corruptors of government apparatus affected by ‘operasi tangkap tangan’ tend not to use denial and suspected corruptors of government apparatus who are designated as suspects rather than through ‘operasi tangkap tangan’ tend to use bolstering strategies in the face of crisis or corruption allegatio
