Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pola konsumsi pembaca berita di portal online Detik.com. Objek penelitian in adalah mereka yang aktif membaca portal online Detik.com di kisaran usia 21-25 tahun. Untuk meneliti atau mengungkapkan persoalan secara menyeluruh dan mendalam, penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan menggunakan wawancara semi-terstruktur. Interview dilakukan dengan mencari 10 narasumber yang merupakan pembaca aktif dalam portal online Detik.com. Narasumber diberi pertanyaan yang sudah disusun oleh peneliti. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling untuk mendapat sampel yang sesuai dengan harapan peneliti; teknik ini mencakup orang-orang yang diseleksi atas dasar kriteria tertentu yang dibuat periset berdasarkan tujuan periset. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti meneliti 10 narasumber dengan kisaran usia 21 - 25 tahun yang aktif menggunakan portal berita detik.com. Sebagian besar narasumber menyukai topik politik, dibandingkan topik lain ketika membuka portal berita detik.com. Karena Detik.com dinilai lebih subjektif dalam memberitakan berita politik dibandingkan portal berita lain yang sejenis. Narasumber lebih memilih menggunakan Detik.com karena tampilan interface yang bagus, update berita cepat, dan bahasa yang mudah untuk dimengerti.
English Abstract
This research aims to find out how dietary news readers on the online portal Detik.com. The object of research in active reading is their online portal Detik.com in the range of 21-25 years of age. To examine or disclose the matter thoroughly and in depth, this study uses qualitative methods using semi-structured interviews. Interview conducted by finding 10 speaker who is the reader is active in the online portal Detik.com. Interviewees were given a question that's been compiled by researchers. The technique of sampling by using purposive sampling technique to obtain samples that correspond to the expectations of researchers; These techniques include those that are selected on the basis of certain criteria which are made or based on objective researchers. In this study, researchers examined 10 speaker with 21-25 year age range by using the news portal detik.com. The majority of interviewees liked political topic, compared to other topics when opening news portal detik.com. Because of Detik.com votes more subjective in preaching the political news than other similar news portal. Speakers prefer to use Detik.com because of the look of a nice interface, quick news updates, and the language is easy to understand.
