Indonesian Abstract

Sayuran mempunyai peranan penting sebagai bahan pangan karena kandungan vitamin dan mineral yang berguna untuk melancarkan fungsi biologis manusia. Seiring dengan jumlah penduduk yang semakin meningkat dan masyarakat semakin sadar akan pentingnya mengkonsumsi sayuran, kebutuhan masyarakat terhadap sawi semakin lama semakin meningkat. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk peningkatan hasil dan kualitas sawi ialah dengan menggunakan sistem budidaya secara hidroponik, karena dengan sistem budidaya ini tanaman dapat dipelihara dalam jumlah banyak pada ruang terbatas seperti dipekarangan rumah. Namun, akan mahalnya nutrisi hidroponik maka pemanfaatan bahan organik diharapkan dapat menjadi media alternatif sebagai pengganti nutrisi hidroponik.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh efektifitas penggunaan media alternatif fermentasi ekstrak paitan dan fermentasi kotoran kelinci cair untuk mensubtitusi larutan nutrisi hidroponik pada budidaya tanaman sawi secara hidroponik rakit apung. Hipotesis penelitian ini adalah penggunaan media alternatif fermentasi ekstrak paitan dan fermentasi kotoran kelinci cair dapat mensubtitusi larutan nutrisi hidroponik pada budidaya tanaman sawi secara hidroponik rakit apung. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada Greenhouse Fakultas Biologi, Universitas Islam Negeri Malang. Greenhouse berada pada ketinggian 492 mdpl dengan suhu rata-rata 22,2 °C - 24,5 °C dan kelembaban udara berkisar 74% - 82%. Penelitian dilaksanakan bulan Oktober 2013 - Januari 2014. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok yang terdiri atas 5 perlakuan media hidroponik. P1 : A-B mix Joro, P2 : A-B mix Joro + Fermentasi Ekstrak Paitan, P3 : A-B mix Joro + Fermentasi Kotoran kelinci cair, P4 : A-B mix Joro+Fermentasi Ekstrak Paitan + Fermentasi Kotoran kelinci cair, dan P5 : Fermentasi Ekstrak Paitan + Fermentasi Kotoran kelinci cair. Percobaan diulang sebanyak empat kali, pada masing-masing perlakuan terdapat 36 tanaman sehingga total tanaman berjumlah 180 tanaman.Pengamatan dilakukan dengan cara nondestruktif dan panen. Pengamatan nondestruktif dilakukan sebanyak 5 kali setelah transplanting (7, 14, 21, 28 dan 35 hari setelah transplanting). Pengamatan panen dilakukan pada saat tanaman berumur 40 hari setelah transplanting. Pengamatan non destruktif meliputi tinggi tanaman (cm) per tanaman dan jumlah daun per tanaman. Sedangkan pengamatan panen meliputi : luas daun per tanaman (cm2), diameter batang per tanaman (mm), panjang akar (cm), jumlah akar, berat akar (g) per tanaman, bobot segar per tanaman (g), bobot segar konsumsi per tanaman (g), bobot kering total tanaman (g), ketebalan daun (cm2/g), sisa air di dalam pot (L), dan klorofil content (Unit). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Media fermentasi ekstrak paitan dan fermentasi kotoran kelinci cair dapat mensubstitusi nutrisi hidroponik, namun Perlakuan Paitan + Kotoran Kelinci Cair memiliki nilai bobot segar total tanaman sebesar 15,6% yang lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan Perlakuan A-B mix Joro (Kontrol). Penambahan media fermentasi ekstrak paitan dan fermentasi kotoran kelinci cair pada media A-B mix Joro dapat meningkatkan tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, luas daun, berat daun, bobot segar total tanaman, bobot segar konsumsi tanaman dan bobot kering total tanaman. Media fermentasi ekstrak paitan dan fermentasi kotoran kelinci cair lebih baik digunakan sebagai aditif, karena perlakuan A-B mix Joro + Paitan + Kotoran Kelinci Cair menghasilkan tanaman yang paling baikdengan hasil bobot segar total tanaman sebesar 24,11%dibandingkan dengan Perlakuan A-B mix Joro (Kontrol).

English Abstract

Vegetables have essential functions for food because vitamins and minerals are useful for human physiological And health. Along with the increasing number of people and societies increasingly aware of the importance of eating vegetables, vegetable Brassica juncea L production needs to increase due to more and more people. One of the efforts made to increase the yield and quality of Brassica juncea L is by using a hydroponic cultivation system, because the system of cultivation of this plant can be maintained in large numbers in confined spaces such as the house or yard. However, the high cost of the hydroponic nutrient utilization of organic matter is expected to be the alternative media as a substitute for hydroponic nutrients. This study aimed to obtain the effectiveness of the use of alternative fermentation extract of Tithonia diversifolia L. and fermentation of rabbit waste to substitute hydroponic nutrient solution on cultivation Brassica juncea L in hydroponic floating raft. The hypothesis of this study is the use of alternative fermentation extract of Tithonia diversifolia L. and fermentation of rabbit waste on cultivation can be substituted for hydroponic nutrient solution on cultivation Brassica juncea L in hydroponic floating raft. Research was conducted at the Faculty of Life Sciences Greenhouse, the State Islamic University of Malang. Greenhouse is located at an altitude of 492 meters above sea level with an average temperature of 22.2 ° C - 24.5 ° C and humidity range 74 % - 82 %. The study was conducted in October 2013 - January 2014. Research using randomized block design consisting of 5 treatments hydroponic media. P1: AB mix Joro, P2: AB mix Joro + Fermentation Extract of Tithonia diversifolia L, P3: AB mix Joro + Fermentation of rabbit waste, P4: AB mix Joro + Fermentation Extract of Tithonia diversifolia L + Fermentation of rabbit waste, and P5: Fermentation Extract ofTithonia diversifolia L + Fermentation of rabbit waste. The experiment was repeated four times, at each treatment plant so that there are 36 total plants totaling 180 plants.Observations were made with non-destructive and harvest. Nondestructive observations conducted over 5 times after transplanting (7, 14, 21, 28 and 35 days after transplanting). Harvest observations conducted in crop was 40 days after transplanting. Non-destructive observations on plant height (cm) per plant and number of leaves per plant. While the harvest observations include: leaf area per plant (cm2), stem diameter (mm), root length (cm), number of roots, root weight per plant(g), total plantfresh weight (g), fresh weightof plantconsumption (g), total plant dry weight (g), thin leaf thickness (cm), residual water in the pot (Liter), and chlorophyll content. The results showedFermentationmediaExtract of Tithonia diversifolia L andfermentationofrabbit wastecan substituteliquidhydroponicnutrients. however, Treatment Fermentation Extract of Tithonia diversifolia L + Fermentation of rabbit waste has a value total fresh weight per plant of 15.6% more low compared with Treatment AB mix Joro (Control).Additions Media fermentation extractTithonia diversifolia L. and fermentation ofrabbitwaste in media AB mix Joro can increase plant height, leaf number, leaf area, leaf weight, total fresh weight per plant, fresh weight consumption per plant and total dry weight per plant. Fermentation extractTithonia diversifolia L. and fermentation ofrabbitwaste better used as an additive, because Treatment AB mix Joro + Fermentation Extract of Tithonia diversifolia L + Fermentation of rabbit waste generating plant is the best with the result total fresh weight per plant of 24.11%comparedwith Treatment AB mix Joro (Control).
