Abstract

Kumbang ambrosia adalah salah satu penyebab kematian pohon di hutan. Spesies kumbang ambrosia termasuk golongan famili Scolytidae dan Platypodidae yang tersebar luas di daerah tropis. Terdapat 7400 spesies kumbang ambrosia diantaranya termasuk kedalam famili Platypodidae (1400 spesies) dan Scolytidae (6000 spesies). Belum banyak informasi tentang keberadaan populasi dan keanekaragaman kumbang ambrosia pada tanaman jati yang dibudidayakan secara monokultur dan polikultur. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui perbedaan keanekaragaman kumbang ambrosia pada lahan jati monokultur dan polikultur di Kabupaten Malang. Lokasi pengamatan ditentukan berdasarkan survei lapang yang dilakukan di hutan tanaman jati yang dikelola oleh Perum Perhutani KPH Malang. Lokasi pengamatan terletak di Kecamatan Dampit (Petak 21B dan 21C) dan Kecamatan Sumbermanjing Wetan (Petak 23U). Penelitian dilakukan Bulan Maret hingga Mei 2018. Kondisi vegetasi pada lahan jati monokultur didominasi oleh tanaman jati dan rerumputan. Vegetasi lahan jati polikultur didominasi oleh tanaman perkebunan dan semusim seperti tanaman kopi, jagung, pisang, ubi kayu dan jahe. Lahan jati polikultur ditemukan tanaman tahunan yaitu mahoni yang berjumlah 21 pohon yang ditanam di bagian pinggir petak pengamatan. Masingmasing lahan dibagi menjadi 2 plot pengamatan dimana di dalam satu plot ditempatkan 10 perangkap botol dengan jarak 10x10 meter. 40 botol trap digunakan untuk dua lahan pengamatan. Pengamatan dilakukan 8 kali dengan interval 3 kali pengamatan dalam satu minggu selama satu bulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian seluruh individu yang terperangkap di tanaman jati monokultur dan tanaman jati polikultur berbeda. Total individu kumbang ambrosia pada tanaman jati polikultur lebih tinggi yaitu (1118 ekor) dibandingkan tanaman jati monokultur yang berjumlah (1058 ekor). Jumlah individu tertinggi pada tanaman jati polikultur pengambilan sampel ke tiga (308 ekor) dan terendah pada pengumpulan sampel ke tujuh dan delapan (25 ekor). Jumlah individu tertinggi pada tanaman jati monokultur pada pengumpulan spesimen ke satu (274 ekor) dan terendah pada pengambilan sampel ke delapan yaitu (15 ekor). English Abstract

Ambrosia beetles can causes tree death in the forest. Ambrosia beetles belonging to Scolytidae and Platypodidae family and widespread in the tropics area. Ambrosia beetles, consist of Platypodidae (1400 species) and Scolytidae (6000 species) family. There is no recent information about the population and diversity of ambrosia beetles in teak plants grown in monoculture and polyculture. Therefore, this study aimed to determine differences in the diversity of ambrosia beetles on teak grown in monoculture and polyculture teak in Malang Regency. The observation location was determined based on a field survey in teak plantations managed by Perum Perhutani KPH Malang. This research was conducted in Dampit (block 21B and 21 C) and Sumbermanjing Wetan District (block 23U). This research was conducted from March to May 2018. Vegetation conditions on monoculture teak plant was dominated by teak and grass plants. Polyculture teak was dominated by woody plant and seasonal crops such as coffee, corn, banana, cassava and ginger. Polyculture teak was found woody plant, namely mahogany which were 21 trees. Each location were divided into two plots each plot were placed 10 bottle traps with a distance of 10x10 meters. Forty bottle traps were used for two observation location. Observations were made eight times with intervals was three times for one month. The results showed that ambrosia beetle population in monoculture and polyculture was different. Ambrosia beetles in polyculture teak plants was higher (1118 individual) than monoculture teak plants (1058 individual). The highest individuals in the polyculture teak in third collection samples (308 individual) and the lowest was in the seventh and eighth collection samples (25). The highest number of individuals in monoculture teak plants in first collection of samples (274 individual) and the lowest in the eighth collection samples (15 t individual). Monoculture teak plant was found 12 species and consist of six genera and polyculture seven species from 4 genera. Monoculture teak plant had higher diversity index (H '= 0.657) than polyculture (H' = 0.459). The evenness index in monoculture (E = 0.264) was higher than polyculture (E = 0.221). The dominance index in monoculture teak plantations (D = 0.657) was higher than polyculture teak plantations (D = 0.459). The Venn diagram showed thats in both locations had seven the similarity of species and six species had no similarities.
