Abstract

Persimpangan tiga lengan “T Junction” tak bersinyal berpengontrol rambu lalulintas YIELD (YIELD sign), Jalan Sunandar Priyosudarmo (sebagai jalan mayor) - Jalan Ciliwung (sebagai jalan minor), Kota Malang, mempunyai konflik lalulintas yang cukup tinggi, terutama pada jam-jam sibuk. Hal ini disebabkan karena gap memadai kendaraan jalan mayor relatif sulit diperoleh sehingga mempengaruhi besamya tundaan dan kinerja persimpangan. Analisa gap acceptance perlu dilakukan untuk mengetahui nilai critical gap dan perilaku pengemudi di persimpangan dalam menerima gap. Besamya tundaan total juga perlu diperkirakan untuk menilai kinerja persimpangan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: 1) Mengukur critical gap dengan metoda Raff , metoda Greenshields, dan metoda Siegloch, serta mengetahui perilaku pengemudi dalam menerima gap di persimpangan Jalan Sunandar PriyosudarmoJalan Ciliwung, Kota Malang; 2) Mencari distribusi dan model probabilitas headway kendaraan jalan mayor pada saat lalulintas sibuk dan tidak sibuk pada jalan mayor Jalan Sunandar Priyosudarmo, Kota Malang; 3) Mencari model hubungan antara tundaan belok kanan pengemudi jalan minor dengan besamya arus lalulintas jalan mayor di persimpangan Jalan Sunandar Priyosudarmo - Jalan Ciliwung, Kota Malang; dan 4) Menghitung besar tundaan total rerata dan Level of Service (LoS) yang ada di persimpangan Jalan Sunandar Priyosudarmo - Jalan Ciliwung, Kota Malang, jika dihitung dengan metoda HCM 1994 dibandingkan dengan metoda pengukuran tundaan langsung berdasarkan jumlah kendaraan yang berhenti. Data lalulintas diambil dengan merekam melalui kamera video dan kamera CCTV pada hari Minggu, Senin, dan Selasa pukul 6:00 - 10:00 dan pukul 14:00 - 18:00. Analisa gap acceptance dilakukan dengan metoda deterministik (metoda Raff dan metoda Greenshields) dan metode probabilistik (metoda Siegloch). Gap availability berupa distribusi headway dicari untuk mengetahui distribusi dan probabilitas headway jalan mayor pada jam-jam sibuk dan tidak sibuk. Perhitungan tundaan dilakukan dengan metoda HCM 1994 dan metoda pengukuran tundaan langsung berdasarkan jumlah kendaraan yang berhenti.

English Abstract

The unsignalized yield controlled T-junction of the Sunandar Priyosudarmo street (as the major street) - Ciliwung street (as the minor street), Malang City, has a high traffic conflict, especially on peak hours, because the drivers are hard to find the adequate gaps of major street to cross the street. This situation influences the intersection delay and Level of Service of the intersection. Gap acceptance analysis is important to find the critical gap and the drivers behavior in accepting the gaps on the intersection. The average total delay of the intersection is also important to calculate to know the Level of Service of the intersection. The objectives of this study are: (1) To calculate critical gaps by Raff method, Greenshields method, and Siegloch method, and also to know the drivers behavior in accepting the gaps on the intersection of the Sunandar Priyosudarmo street - Ciliwung street; (2) To find headway distributions and headway probability models of the major street Sunandar Priyosudarmo street vehicles on peak and off peak hours; (3) To find the relationship model between right turn movement delays of minor street vehicles and major street volume on the intersection of Sunandar Priyosudarmo street - Ciliwung street; and (4) To calculate the average total delay and Level of Service (LoS) of the Sunandar Priyosudarmo street - Ciliwung street intersection. Traffic datas were collected by video tape recording and CCTV recording for Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, 6:00- 10:00 and 14:00- 18:00 period hours. Gap acceptance analysis was conducted by deterministic methods (Raff method and Greenshields method) and probabilistic method (Siegloch method). Gap availability, which is described by the major street headway distribution, was founded to know the major street headway distribution and probability on peak and off peak hours. The delay calculation was conducted by HCM 1994 method and direct observation of number of stopped vehicles on the intersection method.
