Abstract

Cabai merah merupakan salah satu komoditas unggulan nasional yang ditetapkan oleh kementerian pertanian. Kebutuhan cabai merah di Indonesia terus meningkat seiring dengan adanya pertumbuhan jumlah penduduk yang terus bertambah. Produksi cabai merah dapat di tingkatkan jika petani dapat mengelola input produksi seefisien mungkin. Hal ini dikarenakan keberhasilan usahatani tidak hanya dilihat dari segi tingginya produksi yang dapat dihasilkan, tetapi juga penggunaan input produksi dalam proses produksi harus efisien. Kegiatan usahatani tani tidak lepas dari adanya penggunaan input produksi seperti lahan, benih, pupuk, pestisida, dan tenaga kerja. Jika input yang digunakan dalam kegiatan usahatani kurang tepat maka akan mempengaruhi biaya produksi. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menganalisis tingkat efisiensi teknis, alokatif dan biaya pada usahatani cabai merah di Desa Bocek, Kecamatan Karangploso, Kabupaten Malang. Lokasi penelitian ditentukan dengan menggunakan metode purposive yaitu Desa Bocek dengan pertimbangan sebagai sentra cabai merah di Kabupaten Malang. Proses pengambilan jumlah sampel menggunakan rumus slovin dengan jumlah sampel 52 petani. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan proportionate stratified random sampling. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) dengan model vrs (variabel return to scale) dan berorientasi input. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata tingkat efisiensi teknis, alokatif dan biaya pada petani cabai merah berturut-turut adalah sebesar 0,948 atau 94,8%; 0,652 atau 65,2% dan 0,686 atau 68,6%. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan tingkat efisiensi teknis, alokatif, dan biaya petani cabai merah masih belum mencapai tingkat full efisien sehingga masih dapat ditingkatkan lagi sehingga menjadi lebih efisien.

English Abstract

Red chili is one of the national superior commodities set by the ministry of agriculture. The need for red chili in Indonesia continues to increase along with the growth of the population that continues to grow. Red chili production can be increased if farmers can manage production inputs as efficiently as possible. This is because the success of farming is not only seen in terms of the high production that can be produced, but also the use of production inputs in the production process must be efficient. Farming activities cannot be separated from the use of production inputs such as land, seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and labor. If the inputs used in farming activities are not appropriate, it will affect production cost. The purpose of this study was to analyze the level of technical efficiency, allocative and cost in red chili farming in Bocek Village, Karangploso District, Malang Regency. The research location was determined using a purposive method, namely Bocek Village with consideration as a red chili center in Malang Regency. The process of taking the number of samples using the slovin formula with a sample of 52 farmers red chili. The sampling technique used is proportionate stratified random sampling. The data analysis technique uses Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) with vrs model (return to scale variable) and is input oriented. The results of the analysis show that the average level of technical efficiency, allocative and cost for red chili farmers is 0,948 or 94,8% ; 0,652 or 65,2% and 0,686 or 68,6%. These results show that the level of technical efficiency, allocative, and costs for red chili farmers has not yet reached the full efficient level so that it can still be improved so that it becomes more efficient.
